I don't get it.. Angle Grinders can cut concrete, metal, tiles.. but can't cut wood? Why does everyone warn against cutting wood if it can cut concrete? Genuinely asking.
@TheBlokeCave
@TheBlokeCave 11 сағат бұрын
It can cut wood, but it is just very dangerous. And there are so many tools out there for cutting wood that the question becomes why risk it with an angle grinder? With a circular saw, jigsaw etc they have a base that the saw blade is always pulling the wood into, so if it binds it just gets pulled towards the tool and the solid metal base. If your cutting with an angle grinder and it binds then that piece of wood is just getting flung right back at you

We try to keep our videos short and sweet and just address the topic covered in the title rather than branching out. If you would find it useful i could do a seperate video on tool battery life and what to do to protect your batteries?

Very true always best to use a handscrew driver! It could strip the screw head as well. Could be worse, at least I didnt get my impact driver out 😅

I could’ve sworn I tried doing exactly this with no luck, but I followed step by step and it just worked. I almost ignored this video thinking it was just the basic tutorial for changing bite even though the title says otherwise. Maybe it was the tap, but I find it hard to believe such a light tap could release what felt like such a tight grip. Thanks a bunch for the video

do you add water from a garden hose to the area your cutting to keep the dust down and extend the blades life ?
@TheBlokeCave
@TheBlokeCave Күн бұрын
I have never felt the need to when using a small grinder. I have had the same diamond blade for 10 years. It probably would be better to use water but It will make it harder to see your cut line when the dust turns to sludge.

Pozi bits have the extra little star shape to increase the surface area that locks into the screw. This increases the friction between the screw head and the driver bit so it has less chance of slipping in the screw head. However I have never noticed a difference in performance between pozi or philips
