Reality of being a kpop stan is toxic. I am trying to renew myself. All those fake marketing and persuasions really makes fans crazy obsessed about their idols. it's so unhealthy.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE KPOP and it has really helped me in SO many ways but as I got more immersed in the fandom I started getting addicted to it (really addicted 😅). I honestly feel like I'm more obsessed with the idols than the actual songs bc half of the time I notice myself LITERALLY simping for them ALL THE FREAKING TIME I know it's summer break (at least in my area) so I can enjoy myself right? well, it's ruined my life and my relationship with my family I find myself talking about them all the time...I forgot why I even started listening to KPOP was it for actually enjoying the songs or something else?

I am a kpop fan but never bought any merches and all. But these days, kpop just makes me sad because i love the idols alot and wan't to be like them and all. But can't you know. So i don't know what to do anymore. Please help!

The best thing I did about k-pop was quitting Twitter. K-pop stans under the influence of an algorithm can get really toxic. Now I'm learning korean and k-pop turned into this private hobbie that I can find comfort and I can filter what I consume. I'm so much happier now!

i have a question. so aespa will be having a concert in australia. there will be presale tickets. there's also tickets that will also be available to purchase so non presale tickets. will all the tickets be sold out for presale will there be some tickets left for the tickets that are not presale? i've heard some group's presale tickets are all sold out so the non presale tickets end up being cancelled but some groups still have tickets available for non presale tickets?this is for ticketek

I think it depends on the group! I've seen some cancel the general sale after presale sells out, but also some groups save tickets for the general sale! unfortunately, i can't say what they will do for aespa.. :(

I’m trying to get over my obsession of kpop. I literally cry myself to sleep everyday thinking that i love these idols while they don’t even know i exist. My whole life has started revolving around them. My grades have gone down. My life is depressed as a whole and kpop did gave it temporary relief but now getting out of this addiction seems almost impossible. I now want to be like them but i know I can’t. My whole live will be ruined by watching them while there lifes will be made. It runs the opposite for us. Its better to stop kpop.

I like Kpop and Jpop Jpop has more variety though as they do Rock and Metal something American groups forgot how to do i understand Kpop and Jpop better then most of these new so called American groups

did you remove the nude padding on yours? I have the same lace top and mine came with it, debating removing it bc I don’t want to accidentally tear the lace but I think it looks better without it

i stopped listening to kpop (currently cutting of completely) because the industry is very toxic, its almost painful to see knowing the issues they deal with. it might ruin your body image and its kind of not authentic as well like they're singing about self-life but struggling sm with their stuff ? plastic surgery, all the mistreatment and literally tolerating disrespect from fans/company and shirking their own unique persona to fit it etc i also just dont like the way people treat celebs in general like theyre not normal people, they cant make mistakes and ofc date someone and loads of concerning stuff 😐 plus i dont really think a person with a really healthy mind would agree to become a kpop idol these conditions are so bad (as far as i know) since becoming a trainee ps. english isnt my first language hope you wont misunderstand the message

I personally don't think, i gonna leave kpop soon , they're one of my biggest comfort because i struggle with menatl health and sm more, they are like my best friends , i can tell them everything. But i respect your choice!!

Same, I started listening to it in 2016 and I have to admit, since 2021 I couldn't keep up anymore with all the new groups debuting and the community is getting toxic and the pressure on the idols is way worse, but this doesn't mean i have to stop with kpop, I just continue listening to the songs and groups I like and if a new group stands out, I'll give it a try. I don't want it to be ruined by just a bunch of delusional "fans". As long as I stay away from them, it can still be such a great experience

Same. The repetitive sound. I still occasionally listen but no longer interested in idol news nor fandom.. Like I only listen enjoy those funny variety show they are in and that's it. Nothing more.. I ve sold all the littlemerchs, albums I own.
