I love this performance. It retains the sensuality the orchestral version.

It’s not just that the voice is stunning, it’s the expression on par with Hunt Lieberson, or dare I say, Callas? Goose bumps.

It seems to happen so frequently that I suspect it's a fault of KZfaq rather than the uploader?

First class singing by both singers. The small orchestra is also very good. I loved this performance.

Besides Western marionettes In Japan, there is "Ningyo Joruri (Joruri = Drama Music) Bunraku" for adults. "Bunraku" is known as a traditional Japanese performing art along with Noh and Kabuki. In a puppet show that has continued for over 300 years, Japanese performing arts originated from this "bunraku". It evolved from a puppet in Bunraku to a "Noh" played by humans themselves. Based on that "Noh", it has evolved into a popular "Kabuki". "Puppet-like movement" in the "movement" of Noh and Kabuki that a movement is like a robot. This is because "Ningyo Joruri Bunraku" is the source. In Bunraku puppet shows, the puppets look like living people what manipulating it with high technology (one body is repeated by three people) and, It is characterized by sophisticated stories for adults.
