I saw that earlier today a federal court threw out the ATF prohibition on forced reset triggers. NRS 202.274 is generally thought of as a bump stock ban, but I think there's a good chance that these triggers are covered by the statute. The way the statute is written, it is both broad and vague, but with the federal prohibition gone now, it wouldn't surprise me if someone who bought or sold one of these triggers here in Nevada was charged with violating the statute. I was just harassed in Silver Springs. My wife and I had just shut down two storage garages in Reno that we were paying $750 a month for and we got new storage lockers out where we live in Silver Springs For less than half of that. My wife being the breadwinner and the only one working at the moment needed to get some rest moving to storage lockers is , well exhausting. So she went to bed. I loaded up the car with things that needed to go to our new storage locker about three blocks from home. I had a so-called friend with me. I'll pull up to the storage locker and I put the car in park and I start scrolling through my phone to find a combination for the gate. I sat there for maybe 5 to 7 minutes looking when finally I got on the phone and called home waking my wife which I didn't want to do cuz of the time to get the code because I couldn't locate it and she's giving me the code. I get out of the vehicle and I walk up to the gate I put in the combination. I opened it as the sheriff pulling up this lights on. It's out of his car saying that I look suspicious. I have the lock in my hand which I then set on the ground. Within moments. My wife shows up walking down the street because it's within blocks from her house and she been on the phone the whole time of this harassment so she's a witness to the whole situation. This friend of mine they finally pull out of the car after he's been alone in my car for 8 to 15 minutes. First thing he says is nothing in the car is mine. The cop repeats what he says to me and I said that's awful convenient. So the backpack that you just witnessed that was right between his feet. That's not his? I said I said that's mighty convenient knowing already that I'm being f*****. They go through the bag and find his identification proving that he just lied to the officers and that he did have things in the vehicle. He asked me if I have everything in the vehicle. I told him the truth I said yeah. I have a tweak pipe underneath my driver side seat and that was the only thing that I had in the vehicle. Well they went through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb. Sheriff asked me if there's anything else in the vehicle and I told him I said look. I told you everything I had in the vehicle now from what this gentleman had just told you my so-called friend. I have no idea what else might be in there. Oh a few minutes later. Super concerned for myself. I asked him. I'm from Minnesota and up there. There's a proximity law for when people pull sheisty s*** like this. Does Nevada have it all like that? This officer a sergeant immediately gets on the defense accusing me of hiding s*** from him and not being honest and tells me that she just found an eyeglass case went to open it and fetamines and a dangerous drug and paraphernalia never showing me any of this at all and right away. Tell him I said dude. Not mine. His comment is to me well from where it was. I don't think that he could have put it there. My significant other speaks up and says he's been in and out of the vehicle all weekend. This man who I thought was a friend doing really bad. I brought out to my house and was paying to help me dig a pit for a swimming pool. I don't know if he was jealous or envious of the life that I've put together for myself after my prison terms of the past. Or what his reasoning was sits in the car denying everything that is with. I go to jail. I get out on bail by seeing if you get another and I go over our ring footage and we that footage of him leaving in and out of here with the backpacks that he says wasn't his all things that I don't even know if I'm going to be able to use in court but prove that the fact that I wasn't lying. The legal system in Nevada. They do so many things that are out of pocket and not even constitutional. I've heard judges with my own ears. Tell me and tell others that I was present in the courtroom during their trials and sensing. I don't know if I'm supposed to do this, but they'll figure it out in your appeal. That appeal 6 to 10 years down the road that you're sitting in, prison away from your family away from your life. To be on the stand and to be in a state where it's the legislative council bureau of Nevada, the goddamn United State of Nevada. I feel like I'm getting rammed by the biggest dildo in the world. I feel hopeless because I know in that core room I don't stand a chance. Because it's not a jury of my peers, there won't be one single peer on that panel that has ever been to prison. That has any kind of criminal history. So what's a jury of their peers? I'm not one to ask people for help, but I truly don't know what to do.

You're thinking too logically like this is a normal situation. Nothing about this situation has been normal. There's at least a 50% chance they send him to prison. I don't think they've come this far without being prepared to go all the way. My bet is that he gets time. The only thing that will stop it is if between now and the sentencing hearing, they see how vehemently people react to this and they realize they've screwed up and that this, and sending him to jail, will only make his popularity even greater, and be a sure thing to get elected.
