I’m absolutely with Jack on this one. And I’m speaking as a descendant of Spanish colonists and indigenous Chilean people.

I will say that SGC should’ve been a lot more open about why they needed the trinium. Then Tonane might’ve been more open to the mining outpost.

The one thing I didn't like about this is how some of the changes seem unrealistic. Sam's in particular. O'Neil would have retired - sure, and Daniel would still have been humiliated after his conference where he discussed how pyramids were landing platforms - but he would probably still be working in his field, just on the fringes with no normal funding sources, just the conspiracy theory crowds. But Sam - even without the gate, she is still a genius, still would have been in the Air force - but without the gate, probably would have been in NASA too. Hers is where the change is the most immersion breaking.

I understand its a tv show but how could so many foreign leaders not see that kinsey was only in it to earn money for himself or were the other ambassadors just trying to get the same deal as kinsey.

So... if the replicators had locked the cell before the wave came through, all the heroes would have been stuck there with the shields up, and no way for rescue, so they would all have died, likely of thirst, in a few days.

You know what I find interesting, which may be a minor plothole? In the conversation when they walk down that corridor 3:02 , talking about the Wraith periodically culling their world since the "Oracle" ceased communication all those years ago, I find it interesting that the Wraith never seemed to have detected those satellites in orbit that the Lantians left there. Probably could've traced any active signals back to its origin and discern that Atlantis was still operational in the time in which Sheppard and McKay played their little "game".

Ha I just noticed at 1:14 when they show the ship taking off from earth the little structure on top is on the left-hand side. And then when they show it in hyper space, it’s on the right hand side.

I'm guessing Amanda Tapping had a lot of fun with this. Actors often enough getting to play "evil" versions of their characters.

Ah yes, the theme song of Reinstallation. Literally after discovering this franchise, on every PC/Laptop I owned/used I had to install this game. It's literally a must-have on PC, like important pre-installed Windows files.

Annie's Bar is incredibly creepy with its powerful sense of emptiness and total silence That sense of paranoia that you feel being alone somewhere empty in a place normally bustling The resort area itself carries that sense throughout

It really says something about the Ancients arrogance (and its almost a foreshadowing really of what happens in part 2 when a Replicator ship shows up) that the Ancients simply walk in, press the 'off' button and tell the locals to piss off. It just so happens that Weir and her people are good people and the IOA are also for once acting in their rational and reasonable mode, but there are enormous numbers of other cultures throughout the Stargate Galaxies would have would offered a raised eyebrow at such an action and had them all shot where they were standing, the rest of the Ancient crew on the Daedaus simply beamed into space and then gotten to work hacking the systems to lift the lockout. Or worse, if they were the Goa'uld, stunning them all and shoving snakes in their heads. Although it would have been nice if at some point in the next bit, Rodney was muttering to Weir that he is sure that if she would just let him try, he is confident he can bypass the lockdown and lock out the Ancients, resetting the systems thanks to all the hacking in and out everyone from them to the Trust have been doing on the systems all this time. But Weir flatly tells him no, they need to let this play out diplomatically or else they are not any better then the Goa'uld or Genni or other power who simply take what they want...
