I agree it's still early days, but I think we'll have a clearer picture of the top favourites after tomorrow's stage. Very nice profile, I like those first mountain stages especially this early in a GT. A lot of battles to look at and enjoy!

Olympics rarely see the top favorite take the gold. It's a carnage of a race. I really think France can take the gold with the aggressive approach.

Pog will absolutely torch the climbs, but may prefer to race more conservatively down the descents to avoid risks, especially the technical one following Col d'Eze. He may lose a few seconds in that process, but I think his time gained on the ascents will be enough to give him the win.

The TT. Pogacar no need to give all, yet no doubt will. Jonas has to go deep to fend off Remco. Remco lost the chance of a 2nd overall & has a nailed on 3rd, so doesn't need to go full, but will do because he's been eying this TT up for months.

Pidcock lost over 11mins since being dropped 6.5kms from the summit of the Galibier...completely hitting the wall. Carapaz lost half that in comparison. Tough call for today with so many in with a shout of the win.
