I think we have a different recipe or version to yours, we fry equal amounts bulgur and onions, bell peppers with a tomato and pepper paste before adding chicken stock. Once the bulgur is cooked we cover the pan with a clean tea towel and a lid and leave it to cool for 20 minutes, the tea towel absorbs any excess steam. This is the method i learned from my grandmothers Turkish neighbours in germany. The salad is similar as a personnel prefferance we use alot more diced red onion, we like the mix of fresh and cooked onions and bell peppers and serve the mix in lettuce leaves or use lavash. We will give your recipe a try just as you made it, i am curious as to the differances. Thanks for the recipe video, take care. God bless one and all.

Be careful not to make that facial expression (slightly wincing your left eye) when you talked about starting first with the bulgar because it would take some time to cook. That imparts a negative feeling to something completely positive, which is good time management.

Haifa, You know what, I never thought about making hummus even though I really like hummus. Never cooked! Embarrassing but then the Arabic store used to be just nearby.......:) I will try your recipe. you must be the best thing that ever happened to your husband's family. I am like a nightmare to everyone. Do you mean the nonstick pot or pan and not the skirt on the stovetop? I have never heard skirt on the stove? Maybe skillet? I rather prefer a pot on the stovetop? You should try to decorate it with a huge fork. I have this one magically appeared fork in the kitchen which is my mother-in-law's asset. The hummus looked so much like a pool of tornado shape with the mother in laws fork. I have to agree everyone eats what pleases their eye first instead of knowing the taste bud. Anything would look great on camera it's the chef's hand or the one who cooks makes the difference. Do not put the bread on the stovetop it's better when it's oven heated. My first homemade hummus turned out easy and yum! Thank you for your advice on how to make authentic hummus.

Yes! It works great with seafood. It also pairs really well with chicken and beef, especially ground beef like kebabs.
