Music is an amazing thing, I haven't listened to this in years and it any other artist sang it I couldn't remember the lyrics but put on this version because of how many times I listened to Jeff. Buckley during traumatic periods of my life and how it got me through those periods and I still know every single line and every single inflection. Miss him and his music

[Verse 1] The other woman finds time to manicure her nails The other woman is perfect where her rival fails And she's never seen with pin curls in her hair anywhere [Verse 2] The other woman enchants her clothes with french perfume The other woman keeps fresh cut flowers in each room And there are never toys that's scattered everywhere [Bridge] And when her baby comes to call He'll find her waiting like a lonesome queen 'Cause when he's by her side It's such a change from old routine [Verse 3] But the other woman will always cry herself to sleep The other woman will never have his love to keep And as the years go by, the other woman will spend her life alone

I found out my hamster had a brain tumor when I turned 40, Alfred, I bought him at my parents pet store and raised him with love and admonishment. We traveled the city together, him in my pocket and me on my moped. Some days we would visit the comic book store and read Mighty Mouse. Alfred loved the stories and I could tell he wished he had a super power. Well I knew his days were numbered, so I made a cape and a special suit for Alfred, ( took me 3 weeks) and I took him to the highest building in my town. As I let go of his little hands I knew this was it... To my amazement, he hit the pavement and died instantly! The coroner said he probably died of a heart attack before he hit the ground. That makes me feel better, like a satisfied mind. R.I.P. Alfred.

I had a pet Moose…. Same story. He got the butthole cancer from drinking too much water at the public bathhouse. We stated a moose knitting club to raise awareness of his condition and pay for chemo. We made thousands of quality knitted blankets to sell online. One late night he broke into the knitted blanket barn to take a nap. He fell asleep and a pile of blankets fell on him during his sleep. There were literally tons of quality knitted blankets on top of him. No escape. He died an agonizing death being crushed and suffocated Berger finally taking his last breath. Corner said it was a brutal agonizing death. This is a beautiful song thought. Love the vocals.

Haven't heard Lana's version yet. Written by jazz goddess Sarah Vaughan performed by Nina. Sublime. The lyrics just as relevant today. Jeff's unique voice could make anything sound fragile and tender. Sad loss.

How many times have you heard someone say If I had money, I'd do things my way, But little they know that it's so hard to find One rich man with a satisfied mind. Money can't buy back your youth when you're old A friend, when you're lonely, or peace to your soul. The wealthiest person is a pauper at times Compared to the man with a satisfied mind. When my life is over and my time has run out. My friends and my loved ones, I'll leave them no doubt. But, one thing's gone for certain, when it comes my time I'll leave this old world with a satisfied mind. Satisfied mind.

have loved and adored this piece since high school I am one of the lucky few classical pianists ON EARTH with the original sheet music book to this album eternally glad that I bought it back when it was available - even though I could barely afford it at the time (it was like $60 and I was a fresh college grad with a music degree and a below-minimum-wage job) it's now essentially priceless since there will never be another reprint :) the last one I saw for sale was on eBay for $600 and it's not there anymore not-so-humble-brag :D

My grandfather's uncle Clifford Kirkpatrick wrote this while in prison for killing his wife and had gave it to a friend to publish it under his name and copyright it but the friend stole it and sold it and eventually Kittie Wells recorded it. Clifford died penniless in the 60's my mom remembers attending his funeral

I first heard this song when I was 12 and instantly cried. A few years later, I sung this at the funeral of a close friend who passed away too soon from cancer and i've not been able to listen to it since. It's been many years but tonight, I was sitting alone in my car and heard Jeff's voice creeping out of the car window next to mine. I heard this song again for the first time since that day and instantly cried. Music is powerful.

No effects. I'd guess a Fender guitar and amp, but you can get that sound from all sorts of equipment. Just play at low volume with a good touch using both pickups. Yep, Wikipedia says he was a Fender guy.

Today I moved into my first own apartment. The last few days I felt uncomfortable about my decision, but right now, as I'm sitting in my bed having a stunning view on the city, I can say that I'm in peace and that I'm proud of myself. I fought so hard to move out and today I finally made it! I just felt the urge to listen to Jeff Buckley. His voice is filling my whole room. It sounds like as if he's right beside me. His voice has always given me comfort and made me calm. I'd give everything to see him live. RIP!
