Thanks for the video. I checked the Audi service manual for my US 8Y RS3 and bleed order for left hand drive is left front (outer then inner), right front (outer then inner), left rear, right rear. Is the order not that important?
@ZakKol693 ай бұрын
The Audi manual always tells you to bleed from the front (which is backwards to what the entire world says) but , throughout my years at the dealer no one ever followed the manual and always started at the furthest away from the master cylinder. And I’ve always done that too. As long as the system is pressure bled I don’t believe it makes a difference. But if in doubt follow the manual.

What suspension is best for the Audi A3 8P Quattro s line? Or what would you suggest
@ZakKol693 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that’s totally drivers preference. I like a lowering spring setup. But with these cars being a little older now I would always recommend changing shock absorbers and top mounts too! Therefore a good coilover setup and a fresh set of top mounts will cost around £800-£1000 + fitting cost. Not much more than a new standard setup + lowering springs 👍

When you found that the timing was out (and by quite a bit), why did you not do a cylinder leakdown test ? As this engine is an interference unit the valves are often damaged if the timing chain jumps, & this test saves a load of time if they are. Also be aware that the cam lobes can move on the camshaft if the valves hit the pistons hard meaning new cam/cams. Good Luck with the channel !
