Just wondering but with such speed, do you even consider wind direction for landing or just dive in and land whatever direction ?

When I do a Hike and Fly I usually fly really early in the Morning. There is zero to very low thermal activity at the time I want to take off. The Valley winds, which are mainly caused by thermals, are not active then. So there will be no Winds in the Vally 99% of the time and I don't care about wind. Bu when I fly with gondolas and lifts I consider wind direction on landing since i fly more often and until 11 am or even 1pm in some cases and there will be winds down in the Valley. As u can imagine I don't want to land with tailwind since I need to outrun the windspeed when I step on the ground again. =)

Hard to tell, never messured it acutally. It glides very good and takes off easy compared to a Mirage RS. I personally take off on starting slopes that require 3 glide Ratio (when there is a little bit of headwind) . I flew it on 4 Glide. I think there is a bit room up. If you want i can send you a Map and a Video and you can look and compare for your self.
