Friend your Frittilaria are gonna have a ring flat top at the tip kinda like a pineapple top then the downward facing bell shaped flowers......I know you've been looking forward to them but I didnt see any. 😢
@alexandrinavictoriagarden583Сағат бұрын
I am so disappointed!!!I planted probably 12 of them. I am calling Tulip World. I think 2 turned brown and just died. Other than that there weren’t any signs of them. Yes I was thinking the Lilies were them as I don’t remember planting some of those lilies. However, the bulbs were large and different from the Lilies bulbs. 🤔
@mapndo23377 минут бұрын
@@alexandrinavictoriagarden583 you're experiencing something similar with Frittilaria that I am currently going thru with Coneflowers and Black Eyed Susans earlier this week...I was in serious distress. I know its exciting when we have success but its equally disappointing as the success when we have failures. 😢😭

Idk if it will work but one of my lilac branches broke and I taped it back and it actually grew back together. 😊 I planted 48 lily bulbs, and the squirrels left me about 6. 😮
@alexandrinavictoriagarden583Сағат бұрын
Susan! First I laughed when I read about the tape. 🩷 WOW! I am going to try it. Sorry to hear about the Lilies. I know that can be annoying! Did the Squirrels dig them out as bulbs or plants? Did you plant them 6 inches deep, pat the soil numerous times until firm and covered with heavy mulch. That’s what I do when I plant bulbs because the Squirrels know when the soil is freshly dug. When I plant bulbs in the fall I do the same process and even put twigs and fallen leaves over the area to deter them. Thanks for watching as always!😍

Friend so I really need your advice I love Echinaceas and Rudbeckias but mine scorch and wither away but I think it's from overhead watering. I see so many have lush ones and it's just that it takes so long to soak water plants. Is this true.....Am I causing them to decline I dont water them in full on sun....usually in the morning when still in shade or at night.....😢 I'm actually really distressed over this.....😰 you know how experienced I am and I consider myself a very successful gardener but these 2 loves of mine are making me feel like A HUGE FAILURE. SEE EVEN THE MOST EXPERIENCED HAVE THEIR OWN ACHILLES HEEL.😢AND 🙄😓😭
@alexandrinavictoriagarden5832 күн бұрын
OH NO!!! I feel so bad for you! I know the feeling as a gardener. Trust me I understand!!! Weird that’s happening. I water from the base regardless… If I am out and about in the garden for a while. Sometimes I put the hose on low and leave it to run at the base of the plants and then move it to other areas so the beds are saturated and the soil soak up the water really good. I do this especially now we are in the 90s. Maybe they will bounce back if you put the hose at the base on low and leave it for a while… Try and see….disappointment is part of gardening and life in general …so look around and enjoy the other beauties you have. 🥰
