I'm trying to decide what Kayak I want. It's between the nucanoe unlimited and Old Town bigwater. What are your thoughts on the bigwater?
@rjmfishtales18 сағат бұрын
I never had luck with Old Town. I am Nucanoe all the way because it’s so easy to modify yourself with all the track and accessories from Nucanoe and other brands. The seat is really comfortable and swivels. Once again seat can be positioned anywhere on the track. Not locked into one location. I also was just out Saturday in 3 foot swells and felt very safe and comfortable. The last Old Town I owned. The initial stability was not good and didn’t feel comfortable. I got rid of that kayak in 2 months. I think it was the big water.

Good deal. Want to do this to my DIY kayak trailer this Winter. Be interested how you get constant power by switching the plug.
@rjmfishtales12 күн бұрын
All trucks today have a 4 way flat plug in the back and a 7 way round plug to tow trailers. Or camera ports on some of the crazy packages. But your standard 4 way plug on your utility trailer controls running lights, brake lights and turn signal. Not unless trailer has brakes then it will automatically have a 7 way plug on trailer. The truck itself at the 7 way does the same thing as 4 way plug, plus reverse light capabilities, brake signal wire and also constant power. That is the additional 3 with a 7 way plug. All trucks have it except Ford many times on 1/2 ton trucks you have to install a jumper in the fuse both. Not a big deal. If you search around KZfaq or internet you can see many videos on it I am sure. I am an electrician so it all makes sense to me and is second nature. Plus 7 way plugs even if you don’t use the additional items it’s a better wire than your standard 4 way plugs that are not rubber cord and always break.
@ndsoc2611 күн бұрын
@@rjmfishtales Thank you. I’ll research it. And then call my Father-in-law electrician! LOL
@rjmfishtales11 күн бұрын
@ndsoc26 ok. Or like I said in video you can just run lights off a little battery if you want to keep it simpler and just charge battery every now and then. LED lights usually run from 9-36 volts.
