If it uses ingredients from Asia, and it originates from Asia, and has a flavor profile of Asian cuisine... it's an Asian Cucumber Salad... Especially considering white people cucumber salad is a thing and it's pretty much justice sliced cucumbers in vinegar (so it's different and the distinction is warranted)

oh no I'm so sorry to hear you didn't love the flavor! I personally love the saltiness but I totally get it can be different for everyone. You may like this simple tofu cube recipes better instead it's very flavorful : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pd59qcKetqzVoqM.html but if not that then I do really love the daiya feta crumbles or the follow your heart ones from the store :) Hope that helps!

I'll def. try this with the french press. I keep dried shiitake mushrooms because, for some reason, they have a smokey flavor that the fresh ones don't have, but my experience rehydrating them isn't great, they always seem chewier than they should be, but I never tried keeping them fully submerged. I love the dried shiitakes stir fried with long beans, fried tofu, garlic and chili sauce, but even the restaurants use the fresh ones now since they became commercially cultivatable several years ago. Thanks for the tip!

@@nickschultz3259 yes let me know how it goes!! I would say for sure - dried mushrooms have a stronger flavour and still end up being a bit chewy. However I find this method does help! And Your stir fry sounds absolutely amazing!

@@essycooks As much as I like stir fry's at home, nothing beats those restaurant woks with the 100k BTU's. The flavor of those long beans fire charred on a commercial wok is really night and day, not to mention the mushrooms, and anything else you cook that way, esp.. broccoli and even plain old napa cabbage comes out super delicious that way. They have these outdoor woks, basically like your typical outdoor BBQ setup, and they put out over 50K BTUs, and they're super affordable, but I don't really have a place where I could leave one set up so that I'd get a lot of use out of it, and I'd be afraid to use it inside.

Do you know if chickpea flour works snd tastes the same as besan flour from the indian store.i tried besan flour in place of chickpea flour and i dont care for it

@@manuelalmendarez2232 yes besan flour should be about the same I believe that’s a chickpea flour too! Sorry to hear you didn’t like it I wonder if different brands have slightly different flavours. I do have a tofu scramble recipe if you like tofu! ☺️

@@manuelalmendarez2232 one more thing I just thought of! If the chickpea flour batter isn’t cooked all the way through it can also affect the flavour and make it more bitter. Spreading the batter super thin helps it cook all the way through. Hope that helps! ☺️☺️☺️

It is for hanging, not this. If the sauce is runny/oily, it'll just run down the handle of the wooden spoon and drip on the pan handle
