Like I'm sorry unpopular opinion his range may be high but it just feels flat and like one note. All his highs sound the same and don't get me wrong it's good but they are the same...all his lows have the same issue he hits like 1 note and it makes every song sound exactly the same as the last. Lyrics are different sure. But other than that he feels basic at best.

Reasons why Freddie is the overall better vocalist: -He has much stronger and darker middle voice (which you ommited in this video). Please they will have the best range or the technique, but freddie has the VOICE, it is not the range that makes one a good singer

He might have lost it slightly but madness is still amazing he holds that note for so long so after like 22 years of singing I'm not surprised he sort of lost it by the 2nd law

Brendon Urie is so fucking hot

Brendon might have the biggest range with his crazy falsetto and head voice. But my god i’ve have never seen a man sing well into the 5th octave with chest and chest mix but Adam Lambert did it so many time. Most females don’t even sing with chest in that octave.

Matt and Brendon are both fantastic singers and you can hear they did NOT use tricks to cover a bad high note like the other 2 who added chorus effect, double tracking. Matt and Brendon actually pushed their chest voice to drive the voice with more power, its why it sounds more forward. Its an operatic way of singing. The other 2 are good singers and have careers because they have a good tone. However, high notes are not really strong for them. The breaths left in on Matt's recordings is REALLY how much breath is required. The reason.....listen to the isolated vocal of "Somebody to Love" by queen, The line "I work hard every day of my life" sound familiar. Both Matt and Brendon were clearly influenced by queen and is likely why they are so theatrical too. I have to do the same deep breaths, trying to not do it and remove them are literally a disaster, you're gonna hear all the silencing cuts, it needs ambient noise in between lines. Matt just used it as an effect, Brendon didn't so he did what Queen did and make sure the breaths were under the music not on top of it like Matt. It's literally the only difference in styling between the two. Tincomparable
