Wow that story about the flight... it's so ridiculous! Sometimes employees just do stuff because "that's the way things work around here", no questions asked. What a shame. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your Summer!

So sorry that your first flight in a long time was so traumatic! Someone at the airline woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Cle Elum is east and a bit south not north of Seattle if no one has let you know. Love that you had a good time!

I’ve thought many time…oh by the way I love your podcast and have watched religiously from the beginning, anyway, I’ve been thinking that you should make a display of your own hand dyed yarns behind you on several of your podcasts. It would give everyone plenty of time to get familiar with your colour range . Hope you don’t mind the suggestion? As I said, love the podcast!

Christmas tree ornaments: my husband and I got married on 12/21. We asked for ornaments for wedding gifts. 28 years later, we still have all of our wedding gifts, still love them all, and can remember who gave us which ornament, and it has been our tradition to decorate our tree on our anniversary. ❤❤❤❤❤ Such a fun way to celebrate the winter solstice & our wedding anniversary. 🎄🎄🎄🎄

How stressful.... The manager made the wrong decision..... Sorry you had such a terrible time getting to the west coast. I know how you feel. I missed the flight home from Perth to Melbourne. We only had to wait 6 hours. It was my fault and my partner has never forgiven me. :)

Wow, your travel experience was infuriating!!! I’m so glad you made it in time. It was great to meet you in person. I had bought myself a budgie needle felting kit at the same time I got yours. My daughter and I tried it out this weekend. Some bleeding happened 😅. I’ll stick with knitting 🧶

It looks like polymer clay is back! Everything that goes around comes around it seems. My kids who are approximately your age, made polymer clay items to sell at elementary school craft fairs and for Christmas gifts. They they made Mila Fiori Beads and strung them for necklaces and earrings. They produced tiny baskets of fruits and vegetables, animals, and little people for dioramas that they were required to make for school projects. The ones I have still are beautiful retaining their color. I always worried about the fumes coming from our oven. The beads survive. somewhere I have a Tupperware container full of polymer clay that has become hard as a rock and should definitely go into the waste bin. It is basically plastic, which is the downside.

BTW a pasta machine is invaluable in rolling consistent thickness clay. I had one that I use for making ravioli but preferred not using it for rolling plastic and luckily, I found one at a garage sale. It’s useful for other crafts as well. Not that expensive.

What a great time you had! Thanks for bringing us along with the recap. If the event was a little earlier I would go....or just need the kids to get outta high school! Washington is an amazing place (in 2018 we had the family vacay and forced those same kids to tour around 2 weeks in a 15-passenger van rental that was converted for sleeping but it was painted with pastel hearts that dripped: it's name was Liberal 😂 we got a lot of attention at the National Parks) . That budgie needle felting--can't wait to see it!! Get some Zzzzzs and we will see you next time.

Really enjoyed your recap of Flock and I’m glad that I had a moment to chat with you both. I was the one who stopped you on Sunday as you were walking towards the back of the market place where the tables and chairs were. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming, I was truly out of my comfort zone running up to people who don’t know me😅 I think you should also complain to that airlines about not allowing you on the flight. That was cruel of them. The first booth I went to on Saturday was Red Stag and couldn’t agree with you more about their yarn. I ended up with 2 SQ’s that I cannot wait to knit up! Although I didn’t see you at the Fiber Hustle booth, it was buzzing with activity. I now realize that the guy that was so incredibly friendly and helpful was your friend Michael! There was such a good vibe there. Glad they had a lot of success. Hope you have lots of fun with all your new purchases and gifts and time with good friends. All the best, Esther
