If they stay on for 5 seconds consistently then turn off I'd say that's the cars electronic system taking control of that.

I'm not sure on the other specs you listed, but as long as it states the 505.01 spec for your TDI, that oil should be fine to use. 507 would be for your engines fitted with a DPF which I guess the MK4 never had

@@NorthCoastWorkshop NEVER use regular petrol for making a 2 stroke mix. I have damaged 4 machines in the 2 years, that I have been using mixture made with regular petrol.

Thanks mate 😁👍🏻 And yeah the 1.8's aren't talked about as much and have limited mods available. A pretty much standard practice for a little extra power from any Turbo engine is a free-er flowing exhaust system, air intake where universal, made to measure, or adapted from a 2.0 and "made to fit", with a remap done on the car afterwards. If u have a reputable nearby tuner with a rolling road, they should definitely be able to get you a good few extra BHP than standard. There will be a limitation to what the internals of ur engine can handle, so if you are looking for big gains, a change of engine is the next expensive step sadly.

I know a few people who’ve fitted an IS38 onto a 1.8TSI Ibiza Cupra & they’ve held up pretty well

I did dismantle it, but I never filmed it for a video as I couldn't actually see anything obvious that was wrong with it sadly. It looked ok, but there was a lot of small electronics that could have failed and would be extremely hard to spot. Sorry bout this

Hey Mark, yeah I've heard loads of issues from owners with the wipers not sitting correctly if they've ever been removed or replaced. I've never had the issue myself I'm afraid, so I can't really give a definite fix for it. I used my obdeleven scanner and software to reset any faults. Still use it to this day on the car and my Ibiza 👍🏻

As long as you've not spun the wheel or messed with anything while it's apart, the steering angle sensor should need nothing done to it.

Ah, cheers for the heads up 👍🏻 I wasn't aware of the F-gas qualification at all, so good to know. As for the old gas, I was going to take it to a nearby garage to collect the old gas from the system, but I checked the system quickly 1st with the gauges, and it was showing 0 pressure from the system. I double checked by removing the Aircon pressure sensor and briefly tapping the valve under it, and nothing was there at all. Possibly the car has had the pipes disconnected years ago, and it was never re-gassed afterwards. But thank you again for the advice. I will look into the F-gas qualification, if it's possible for DIY-ers to have??, if I ever need to do my Leon or the Kadjar.

Sounds a little excessive for such a new car. Definitely after 5 to 10 years, cars can use a little oil every few thousand miles

For such a new car, if it's concerning, I'd check with the dealership and maybe have it looked at under warranty. If you change the oil to another one that's not recommended by the manufacturer, and the engine fails it may void any warranty. Definitely get their opinion on it 👍🏻

I'm not sure what has happened there. Something must have been disrupted when fitting the replacement QC adapter. Are u able to plug back in the old 12v lighter socket and see if that still works? Though I suppose if you're getting no voltage at all at the wires it must be something to do with the car. Hopefully you can track down the issue 🤞🏻

I managed to find what it might look like. It may be hidden under some trim in view of the front or rear window. Supposedly the radio antenna is integrated into wires within the top of the rear window. If you were able to find the connector for the GPS on the rear of the head unit, hopefully it would be the same solution as mine, once you found the relevant Peugeot connection.
