Great Job Jorge, Regards Angel & Rosa-Huertas, NYC

Thank you Jorge, great presentation, I loved it, Volcán Panamá sounds like the type of place I would consider to eventually relocate to. Currently my wife and I live in nyc - we are from nyc. We are fluently bilingual and a Spanish speaking country like Panama would make sense. Thank you kindly - Angel & Rosa Huertas-Torres

This video interests me because I will live in Panama City the first year there. I plan to discontinue part B and my advantage plan since it costs me $671, due to irmaa, a month and Panama insurance is MUCH cheaper if I need it at all.

Wonderful presentation, Jorge'. The only lousy thing is that it looks like the Chiriqui region has now been economically taken over by property speculators, expats, and investors. Seems like the price of land and housing is now in the inflated range. I can't find any listing in the mountains (Boquete, Volcan, etc.) and what there is listed seems ridiculous. David is nice and there seem to be more listings at lower prices, but I'm also aware that it's much hotter and more humid. I'm not sure I want to retire to that. I do plan to come down and look for myself. Thanks for the video!

What is the average cost in Pedasi, we are trying to decide on Pedasi near the ocean or Boquet mountains. We will be 65 when we move there, can we do a 1099 real estate exchange there to avoid capital gains in the united states? Thanks for any information you can provide as far as cost of living compareables in these areas to the us.
@PanamaRelocationToursКүн бұрын
@@SharonStenberg-w1q you cannot do a 1099 for domestic property to foreign property. Check the rules with your CPA! You can only do a 1099 for domestic to domestic property or foreign to foreign property. The town of pedasi is not near the ocean. There are some developments near the ocean but they are all expensive.

I live on the west coast. Does it make sense to ship goods across the US to Miama then from Miami to Colon then to Panama City. Isn't there a similar service from Portland to LA then to Panama City? I would use palette US customs will steal your stuff saying it is drug money. It is called civil forfeiture. Gold, silver and money are targets by DEA or customs.

Thanks for this perspective, Jackie. I know you cater mostly to an American audience, but there are areas of discussion that I appreciate coming from a Canadian POV. It would have been nice to discuss more about the banking and healthcare options/insurance. Canadians (and Brits and other Europeans) that come from a universal single payer health system find the healthcare/insurance/private/public thing a bit of a mystery. I had hoped to have some context from a Canadian (or European) context on how that works (especially from a non-veteran stance). Nonetheless, a very great interview. Love all you do and the information you provide. #1 fan!!!

??? Hi Jackie is it possible to find a furnished 2 bed/2bath long term rental near the beach in gorgona for under $800 month
@PanamaRelocationTours2 күн бұрын
In Gorgona, that would be tough. There are some rentals for $850- $950 a block away from the beach. But that does not include electric or internet so add at least $100 for that. In the Azuero, you can easily find furnished 2 bedroom 2 bath for less than $800 and across from the beach.
