That’s a different game to the sterile, passive stuff they play now. Great days!

He didn't actually grass up Billy Bremner and Don Revie. He gave evidence for the prosecution about a newspaper article about overhearing a conversation. He and Mike O'Grady gave an interview to the Daily Mirror which was used an article accusing the duo of match fixing. They took the Mirror to court for libel and won but it they became persona non grata.

You're more right than you know. The title was suddenly slipping away, Derby had beaten, at Elland Road, for something like 60 years. It was a very nervous win.

😂 Think people are being harsh, giving Sprake stick for not stopping Best's goal, it was an absolute screamer, and he struck it early... (first time I've ever seen that Bremner goal, what a strike!)...

He didn't like flair players. I think Hudson only played twice. I think Trevor Brooking was a Revie type player.

Some views looked like it was in the dark satanic mills time. Good game considering the pitch & plenty of bruises on show. Didn't know that Barry Davies had started at ITV, after Brian Moore my second best commentator.

I can just about remember those days altho I was an 8 yr old kid. I remember seeing the entire Scum team led by Bremner and Revie in The Midland Hotel prior to a game v United @ Old Trafford. Maybe this was the one? They were happily signing autographs for young United fans. That would never happen these days as if word got out the hotel would get smashed to pieces! Oh how I crave an atmosphere like this at football today ❤
