Can you use Vic with a free esxi License?
@DJ29Joesph
@DJ29Joesph 2 жыл бұрын
For anyone using this today, the latest Version of VIC required me to deploy the .ovf using vcenter. If you try to deploy with Esxi leaving the cert info blank during setup (auto generate), you will never get past initializing, and never see a TLS certificate in console.

This is such a fantastic and most helpful video. I love how Carlisia explains every step and flag, even if it's just a few words for the purpose of each part. And showing us exactly how long a build will take, the exact steps needed to start becoming an efficient contributor to the Velero code base. Thank you very much!

38:50 read write only? Which of ReadWriteOnce (RWO), ReadOnlyMany (ROX), and ReadWriteMany (RWX) are you referring to? I think only RWO (read write once).

Thanks. That was informative. It is worth mentioning here that prancer cloud validation framework is also using the rego policy language to validate the cloud and also all the compliance tests are based on the rego language. Moreover, for the rego rule you were thinking about, i think you can do count(security context)>=1

Hi there! What are the differences between skaffold and pack? Perhaps skaffold is more 'development experience' oriented and pack better for CI/CD pipelines?

> "If you were on Docker for Linux, there's no way you're gonna do what I'm getting ready to do" Are you under the assumption that Docker only supports credential stores on Mac? Yes, the default Docker config is no credsStore on Linux... but that's because you have numerous options for credential stores. I use Password Store and my Docker config (yes, on Linux) doesn't have any passwords in it.

Awesome video! I wrote a blog post overviewing Velero and attached some video content at the bottom. I used an older TGIKubernetes video by Joe Beda but I think I'll replace it with this. This picks up right off from the overview I gave, and dives into further detail👌

I agree with Scott Lowe, when it comes to on-prem private clouds or network SDN, the network is still the admin silo, it is limited when it comes to self services. we can not compare it to what users have on public cloud in terms of self service, flexibility and choice.
