I just bought and Akaso Digital video camera for making videos while mounted to my helmet. I found out that it will only make videos that create 4K of space on my microSD cards. It only makes videos about 10 minutes long.. I think I have it set to make the longest videos at 2.7 at 30 frames per second. I can have the settings all the way up to 4K, but won’t that make videos that are even shorter, if it only makes a video of 4K of information, and then it stops and starts making another video once it reaches 4K.. My old cameras a Sena prism tube, that has no settings. It is either on or off will run making a video as long as the battery lasts which is about an hour. And my old GoPro hero three makes videos that are at least a half an hour long. Why does my new camera not make long videos. It has the most selection when it comes to Settings, but which one do I use?

RE: Camera Brands - There are some things to consider when choosing a brand. In particular once you've picked a brand, and purchased some lenses, moving to another brand causes you to have to "re buy" your glass. Also, each brand has its benefits and detriments. For example, I've got a Pentax K-3, which I absolutely love for the ergonomics and ruggedness, but I pay the price of there being less variety of lenses, and they tend to be more pricey.

Thank you for your educational videos. I took a lot of photographs with my Nikon FE, when I processed crime scenes many, many years ago. I am now looking into photography as a hobby. I just purchased your book on Amazon. Great job on the book. I am looking at the FugiFilm XT5 as my first camera since some great bundle deals exist. I hope I am making the right choice, but I am going to do some more research in the next few days. It comes with a XF 16-80 f/40 R OIS WR Lens, whatever that all means. Also like the Nikon D850.

I only had one main camera which was a Canon 5D, which I used to take on holidays. In the kit I had the camera body, a 24-105 lens, a 50mm fixed and a 100-500 tele, a flash unit, several filters and spare batteries and cleaning gear. I carried them in a Lowepro backpack and the weight was 7 kilos (the maximum allowed on planes). My camera bag was quite bulky as all the gear is on the large end of the scale. I also wanted to add some other small items to the kit but was unable to due to weight. When going on a trip overseas (we are based in Australia) I decided to go to a Panasonic G9, with a combination of Olympus 24-200 lens, a Panasonic 24mm fixed and the Pana/Leica 100-400 lens, flash gear, spare batteries, and sundry gear in a smaller Lowepro backpack. The weight was less than 5 kilos and the space saving was considerable. The sensors on both cameras are about the same size, so I was more than interested to see how the Micro4/3s shots stacked up with the full frame. The only time I see the little sensor losing out is in very low light scenarios, with noise becoming more obvious. But most shots with the G9 I find the quality of shots are excellent, and it was quite a relief to find that the full frame didn't leave the Panasonic behind. I am very impressed with the smaller sensor camera and it's gear, and will continue to use it for some time. The very good quality shots, the size and weight savings to be gained, and the difference in price are well worth considering. Great effort Marc, keep up the good work.
