Yeah, I’ve been fortunate enough to find some small streams that have bigger fish here in Pennsylvania….. a lot of it has been due to beaver dams I believe…. They seem to grow big in those and people can’t really catch them because of all of the cover and depth, then when the dams break the fish go throughout the stream.! 👌

Man thats a nice looking creek with some beautiful chunky browns! Hey Dusty, have you thought about adding some jerkbaits as a plan C tactic?
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho26205 күн бұрын
Yeah man that particular stretch of that stream I had never fished before, I had fished that stream several times down in the lower section, but just had never explored it up higher until that day.👌🤙 I actually have a little box with a handful of assorted Rapalas in my arsenal…. I break them out occasionally, but probably not enough to have success on them. Maybe I will dedicate an episode to exclusively those.🤷♂️👌

Always kinda thought the heavy splash approximating weight of available prey 6-10” chub suckers trout woke up biggest alphas. Up to a point dirtier better. More sound oriented hunting. 25” healthy male will hunt 12-15” prey. 30” maybe 16”. Don’t get many bites on biggest lures though. Takes a LOT of faith to keep throwing when hours go by but don’t damage shorts. You are the man. LOVE YOUR VIDS.

It’s incredible how many 20+ inch trout you catch on just a simple mepps. My local creeks have big fish if you know where to find them but I would be really surprised to get one on an Aglia at this point. I’m sure I’ve tried. So far my only luck has been on larger streamers or night crawlers.
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho26209 күн бұрын

You mentioned mothers day so this video must have been on may 12th, waters were still cold, the trout are just trying to survive right now, terrible heat and low water makes for disaster for trout.
