Guys, with all due respect. The Bruin boot was a joke, and the support around it was even worse. Soooooo many people didn’t like that boat and paid you $250 for it. Now you have a $150 more expensive boot? I’ve still got a pair of the last ones that you can’t even start to figure out how to fix for me. C’mon guys, we just money grabbing here cause there is a lack of barefoot leather boats on the market?

@@bearfootshoes I would hope that you're paying your assembly line a respectable wage as well and that contributes to the higher price point. I've asked the same thing of origin. Obviously there's no answer. Increasing USA manufacturing is great but if we end up with high price products and low pay factory workers that's not good.

No offense, but I've rolled my ankle over a dozen times in my life, in the military with the old black boots, in sneakers you name it. Now I've got calcification in my ankle and pretty bad arthritis. Only thing that helped me walk without pain again was a good ankle brace. I'm not so sure you can strengthen the ankle that much after damaging it so often. Maybe you can do a follow up video with some corner cases for folks like me who just can't do the whole "no ankle support" life. Unless I want to limp along the entire trail in pain....

Instead of trying to compete with Jim green just fill the void in the market and make steel toed barefoot boots if the bruins sold really well think of how well a steel toe would go there’s so many people who are required to wear steel toe and no one that I know of puts out a quality steel toe barefoot boot the bruins are amazing boots I know a steel toed version will be just as well designed but even with that said we don’t need a perfect boot we just need a barefoot boot that meets the standards of employers!

Hey guys. I am highly interested in your shoes but have had terrible luck in the past with all kinds of footwear due to my foot size. My foot is measuring at 11.96” in the length and 5.9” in width. Looking through your sizing charts on the website it looks like some of the shoes might run different. Can you help point me in the right direction? Thank you.

I've found higher shoes cause me immediate intense pain. Far from "supporting" my ankle they immobilise it which means it can't absorb any shock. I've had far more injuries over the years from high walking boots then I have from normal trainers or lower walking boots. I might also add, you're spot on with the flexibility. If you can't properly flex your ankle you'll get injuries

I read Born to Run years ago but just bought my first minamalist shoes in February of last year. I was big into barefoot running and already had wide-ish feet. About a month into it for about 2 days I had searing pain on the bottom of my feet whenever I would stand. I sat a lot that day and fought through the soreness that presided for the next few days. I have never had an issue since. A few weeks ago I was running in socks while inside (pot was boiling over) and I stubbed my toe so bad that I couldn't walk or put pressure on it for the rest of the day. I can't even remember if it was sore 2 days later. I attribute that to the strengh of my feet and not just recovery speed. Speaking about strength, I can stand on my two big toes for a solid 7-15 seconds. My feet have never felt stronger. This is awsome info, would love to try some specialized exercises and check you guys out.

How about high arches? Its always about flat feet and if you do something very hard like being in the army. Do you still recommend going without orthotics if you have high arches? I like to be barefoot but I feel it put to much pressure on just the heel becouse I have high arches.

BEWARE!! Bad boots. Bad Customer service. I figured the comments here needed some realistic balance. Ordered two pair. One for my son and one for me. Returned my sons for stitching. They were good about that return, no problem. However, now the leather insole has become scrunched up and folded inside for apparently no reason. I just found out about that and haven't addressed that with Barefoot yet. My boots had the same problem with sole separation and stitching but to a lesser degree. I contacted customer service and they were like " I can send you a repair kit and you can do it your self or you could send them in but it'll take two weeks" . I said "cool, Id rather you guys fix them" because they were just a couple months old. I waited a couple weeks with no answer and so I emailed. They said they their repair guy was on vacation and they would get back to me the following Monday. Monday comes and goes but I give it a few days I finally emailed and was ignored for about a month and a half and 5 more emails. I finally opened a new ticket and was ignored for a couple more weeks or so. They said they they could figure out what was going on with my boots. I was pissed off by now and sent a terse email asking about a refund. Finally they send me a refund and then later an email with a "why are you so mad" sort of tone. F - these guys. Save your money for a better shoe company like Xero or Lens. They sucked to wear even before they started coming apart.

Sometimes you need a supported shank in a boot. Ever shoveled through basalt filled clay? You gotta kick that sob harder than you can with barefoot boots. But they look to be pretty good multi-use boots. I’d try a pair. Normally I wear Crispi brand boots.

That's because gloves have individual fingers. Even in mittens which don't, they're usually sized to that your fingers don't get crushed against each other. For whatever reason, most shoes are designed much less intelligently.
