IF YOU LIVE IN NEWPORT NEWS/HAMPTON, DON’T WORK IN NORFOLK/VIRGINIA BEACH!!!! And vice versa. I loath the 64 bridge tunnel and won’t take it unless absolutely necessary, and I live the first exit in Norfolk. Thanks for all the traffic that I’m not even participating in! That tunnel does 10X more traffic than it was designed for BECAUSE OF YOU! And who is causing the crime? Can’t talk about that. Raise your children!

I currently live in Kempsville and have been the last 2 years and I can't wait to leave. I've lived in NY, CA, MA, ME, and OH, and this place is by far the worst. The people here are the RUDEST I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. Everyone has a huge chip on their shoulders and act like they are the toughest people alive. No one keeps any opinions to themselves, and they all suck at driving on top of being entitled rude punks. I can't wait to make this place past tense when talking about it.

As a man from Detroit...but I live in Norfolk AND MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDSON ARE BORN AND RAISED HERE..and lived in Virginia Beach. This vid is SPOT ON. I CAME BACK HERE IN 2015...and I lived in YOUNGS PARK for a brief stint. To see the positive transitions of the destruction of Tidewater Park to where they are building condos now. GHENT is beautiful ,Colonial place is beautiful. And 31 years ago... Park place was a mess....but I lived in COLONIAL PLACE back then with my daughters mother UNCLE ON VIRGINIA AVE. BUT TO SEE PARK PLACE AND LAMBERTS POINT NOW IS ASTOUNDING. IVE WALKED DROVE AND RIDE MY BIKE THROUGH SOME OF THESE PLACES FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO. UNLIKE THE CITY OF DETROIT...where in the city itself "BLIGHT" overpowers the very nice places in Detroit as opposed to here. In Virginia Beach ...when I was homeless at times it was uncomfortably easier to SURVIVE. But I ended up getting very Lucky to establish a relationship with MS CINDY SNYMAN. WHO OWNS THE MOST AFFORDABLE PROPERTY OFF 21ST STREET AND PACIFIC....AKA THE 🟣 HOUSE. NOW I LIVE.OFF AZALEA GARDEN RD AND MILITARY HIGHWAY. MY MOM VISITED 2 YEARS AGO....and it was such a CULTURE SHOCK TO HER. BEING THAT THE PROJECTS DONT LOOK LIKE YOUR TYPICAL PROJECTS. I wouldn't trade living in any of these neighborhoods for nothing in the world as long as I can afford it.

Va Bch and all of Hampton Roads is full. Too many moved here and still moving here. Like heavy traffic and crazy drivers who run stop signs and red lights? Like expensive housing that is nowhere near the beach? Like roads that are not built on a grid, thus no roads to get around jams? Like high taxes?

So almost every neighborhood you mention is in kempsville. Kempsville is over populated, traffic is insane, and drainage is an issue. Kempsville has gotten affordable for a reason.

The police seem to be hiding from doing their job 😢
