I love this song and it has to be my favorite from the whole musical but what I really enjoy is the fact that Thomas saying they have a connection is another way of saying he just wanted to use her. Since all of the other guys only wanted her for her body, she would only find that out once the song mentioned they had some “connection” and in the last verse, before Thomas says they have a connection Katherine truly loves spending time with him. The fact they symbolized Thomas saying they had a connection to prove he didn’t care about Katherine and just wanted her body is amazing because it proves he wasn’t different from the other men because all the other men mentioned they had a connection with Katherine but ended up not caring for her. (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense English isn’t my first language)
