Met Jay Humphrys in Milwaukee in 1973 while I was a Junior in High School, trying out for Holiday! He was a wonderful, warm Canadian 🇨🇦 who gave me valuable advice on how to train for the next year: get a loan to rent that precious ice time, & gave me his Address so we could correspond while he was Touring. Great guy! He was the "Fiddler" 🎻 on the Roof that year! Ray Balmer & I attended the same elementary school, St. Rose 🌹 of Lima (Spencer Tracy also went to St. Rose)! Ray spoke to our Grade 7 Class, we had the same wonderful nun, Sister Mathia, & he invited everyone down to the Arena for that great free skate lesson with the stars in the show! I often think of these fantastic ambassadors for our sport! Skating has changed so many lives for the better: & opened up a world 🌎🌍 of possibilities never before imagined. My beloved Grandmother took me to my very first ⛸️ show, & watching all this from way, WAY up in the peanut 🥜 gallery still feels like yesterday! Thank you for posting these marvelous memories! 💐🍀🌛🌌

All of these lovely and talented dancers are wearing beautifully decorated G-strings with a narrow strip of cloth running between their buttocks and rubbing over and against their anus. How are these expensive handmade G-strings Laundered and kept clean for the wearer? Do the dancers defecate late in the afternoon everyday and then flush out their rectum so that no fecal matter will soil their expensive handmade G-strings, keeping their G-string nice and clean, not requiring their G-strings to be frequently laundered? Do the dancers, after washing and cleaning their anus, place a piece of tape over their anus to prevent their expensive G-strings from being soiled, keeping their G-strings fresh and clean for many performances? I would very much appreciate your answers to these questions. I am sure there are many people who are wondering how these dancers keep their G-strings fresh and clean for many performances without having to have them laundered.

I remember seeing this tour in Texas at some point in the 80s. Had such vivid memories of it and thought about it today, which led to my Google/KZfaq search. My memories were validated by this video, so thank you for posting. Wonderful memories from childhood!

Thank you for the interview with skater, actress, and dancer Belita. Loved her in Suspense, The Gangster . (both with Barry Sullivan), and Blonde Ice. Very unique performer. Wish she had been more marketable, but was relegated to poverty row Monogram Pictures. May she rest in peace and abundant talent.

The announcer said the production would go on for two years. That was the usual. I joined this production as a skater in 1977, starting in Ribeirao Preto and on to Rio, and the total number of years this production went on was 4.5. It was popular and audiences loved it, so that's why they kept extending the run. I had been studying music in Vienna a few years earlier, and was too poor to travel to France and see Paris etc. I thought I would see those places with the show, but no, they flew me from Vienna to South America, which was supposed to be for a few months, but the tour got extended. Sin ofender a la buena gente de Bogotá y Bucaramanga, pero esos lugares no estaban en mi lista de lugares para ver. Pero el verdadero problema era que seguía enfermándome. I kept getting sick. So, it was an opportunity of a lifetime, but my body couldn't take the food changes. It always blows my mind when I think about people who did this for 15 years, or even more. It's a unique lifestyle.

Graceful and beautiful as always. I think she gave up the jumping aspect of her skating too early though. Once Peggy turned pro, the only jump she did was the single axel.
