I did, in the timelapse you can just see me getting them nipped down in a circular pattern. I went over everything in a star pattern with the torque wrench, and then around in a circle just to double check torque.

Hey guys great video. When do you change glow plugs for 1hdt And whats your intercooler like? Does it still make a difference then the front mount?
@LiftedLarrikins
@LiftedLarrikins Ай бұрын
Hey mate, I’d say to change your glow plugs if you’re having issues on cold startups/sometimes a bit of white smoke on a cold start. If the motor is cranking and cranking, but not kicking over, a good place to start of glow plugs. It’s a quick job, replace with a good set of plugs and you’ll be right! The intercooler is great for the aftermarket turbo. A front mount will see more airflow, however a top mount still does the job more than okay. Either way, both are great options. Just depends on the build you’re going for. Hope this helps, and thanks for the support!

Nice rig, but a 300hp tune is not a safe tune for a 80 series, no way mate, and why add a scoop with no intercooler?
@LiftedLarrikins
@LiftedLarrikins 2 ай бұрын
These motors are completely capable of 300hp. If it blows up, he’ll rebuild it with built internals for 400hp. It does have an intercooler, a front mount. Having the bonnet scoop is still useful in helping to cool the top of the motor.

@@promxrippa Capable isn't the same as safe, my Patrol ZD30 is 'capable' of 300hp at about 35psi boost, but I'm a clown and I'll get myself stranded if I set it up for that. Mate whatever floats your boat, set your car up how you want, I'm sure the head bolts will do 400hp. Hey maybe with a super good intake & front mount ic it gets it lean enough that it doesn't melt a piston. But as we can all see in the video it's not lean, black smoke means its rich and he says its rich and rich means high EGT no questions asked. Doesn't matter what the gauge says, is the gauge on his manifold or on his dump pipe? Where he puts it will totally change the reading. 550 on a dump pipe might be 850 in manifold. If you roll coal you're gonna pay the toll brother.
