Every street, every corner has a story to tell. From the banks of the snake to over the Rhine, "Down da way" as I would say. When I was at Clifton Penn Station, mid to late 90's I lived here. I love my city and my neighbors. I miss Smittys my godfather a part owner. #MyCityStory 🌆💕

That's Rose St. It wasn't that bad until they built those apartments at the end of the cul-de-sac. It a bonifide shithole now. Drug dealers, drug addicts and Mexicans looking for day labor work comprise 99% of the people there...oh and the house they release all the sex offenders too. Forgot about them.

It's the same old story. You take away the industrial base of a city and it's downhill from there. A lot of the good high paying blue collar jobs were lost when steel plants closed and auto manufacturing was slowed by foreign autos. It happened across the Great Lakes and throughout the country. Bad politics and greedy C E Os.

A city that I grew up in that at one time was so grand and prosperous its a shame what it has been reduced to bad city politics

I was out there for 9 years, that street houses a methadone clinic where your supposed to get treatment right? People who come to boston for.treatmebt and there treatment center sends them to that clinic they have no clue what there WALKING literally into they relapse and get trapped on the ave GOING to there methadone treatment. The SYSTEM is setting us up to fail and that clinic in particular is FOR profit and use shady tactics i was a client there for 4 years!!! Going every morning after i got housing was a nightmare i thank god that i no longer am trapped in my nightmare. Praise god 🙏😇 sending love light healing and prayers to everyone out there suffering from thia DISEASE. 💜💙💚

Great memories for me. I moved there in 77’ moved in 82’ Frankie Hammond was my boy. We lived in bldg 8 in the front by the police station and the mailroom. It was wild out there I don’t remember those metal stairs going to the upper floors, that’s newer. Since we was poor we would recycle bottles and cans and go across the street to the store and they had all the penny candies, juices and chips you could dream of😂 the older guys would still play with the youngins back in those days I always was included in the football games in that field behind the store. The youth arts and crafts center was nice even had music instruments and stuff in there. I remember being chased by a bully a few times I was like 10 and he was a teenager. He wanted my bike. One day he hit me with a rock while chasing me cause I got away from his dumbass. When I got home and my mom seen that lump on my head she grab me by the hand made me take her to they little hang out and my moms gave them a classic Puerto Rican curse out. They never messed with me again😅. I also recall us knowing the infamous Frankie “the terminator” Estrada and his family. I remember cause they all had names like French fry, ketchup and what not. I later learned he became a killer and drug lord out there, allegedly. I’m good on ct though. After we moved we came to visit my moms friend by the Marina and let me tell you all we heard was gunshots all night bro. My moms said pack y’all shit we never coming back 😂😂 All in all it was cool I lived there for a short part of my life and big ups to CT

If you are related to a common councilor, you can receive $100.00 a week to not be a criminal . For a good laugh, listen to the chief of police explain why crime is rampant. DUH!! The common council is not paying them enough!!!

Do they not have driveways ??..Everybody parked on the street even the side streets. Im from upstate ny so watching different hoods is fascnating to me. Looks like they got mad good food spots and zillions of corner stores like where im at. Seen so many businesses too. I just know winters here are horrible especially with all those hills.

I grew up around there and I can tell ya why it looks that way now! It's ashame and people have ruined the town and stores won't stay because theft is so bad , the people there would rather get rid of their stores by stealing because some woke democrats will just give them our hard earned taxes! Vicious cycle of lies !! Start over

I haven’t been to Syracuse since the early 90’s. My cousins and her children, were in public housing. Was a brief visit. Did not get too many opps. To be out and about.. and it was winter. Wasn’t a planned visit, my car broke down, taking my grandmom, and aunt to visit..

11:30 Pearl Street... We used to make carts out of 2"X4"'s, an old wooden milk crate for a seat and wheels off a discarded baby buggy. We would start at the top of the hill near 1st Street and roll down without brakes into oncoming traffic. Pearl Street was a one way coming uphill from the railroad tracks. Late 60's. I dont know how we survived some of the crazy shit we did.

0:00- 2:47 that’s Main Street. Nah for real though main st is lowkey Dangerous and it’s full of Hispanics and blacks. I remember when I was 5 I was walking to that deli in the beginning of the vid at night with my older brothers and all we see is like 4 cop cars going past us to that road near the deli. I remember seeing an older black woman with her breasts out when I was 7. I saw a dude past out right in front of my house when I was 9. I got chased by a dog and got my bike stolen when I was 10. Main st is something else😂
