After the rear bumper is removed there will be a grommet on right side(passenger). I sneaked it from there and then continued through the rear right side quarter panel and then i found an opening through the back firewall. :)

Thanks for the video! The CF intakes are gorgeous, but to cut the oem engine cover is a shame. Why don’t Weistec build a custom one and sell it as a package with the intakes? I’d give those a serious consideration! Their products are top and would look even better than the original engine cover, I’m sure!

Ive cleaned the engine bay with soap and sprayed bunch of water everywhere. Then I used the leaf blower to evacuate most of the water. Have not had an issue yet. Done that 8 times since i got the car.

Sorry, off-topic, but I also managed to break the lever arm mechanism on the larger wiring harness connector at the ECU. I can't quite see in this video, but did you put in something different for the locking slider plastic inserts?

Thanks, this is why I created this channel, to be honest I just went with the flow. Never done this before and no mechanic will take the time to record the steps. Also it would be much easier to take the engine down but I decided to take the longer route. Happy that you enjoyed the content. More to come :)

I have installed pre-facelift S63 AMG coupe (the "scratchy" m157) exhaust on my S450 coupe (after the secondary cats) and left the flaps permanently open because the AMG ones are vacuum actuated and mine are electrical. The car sounds good even with the primary and secondary cats on. Planning on removing the secondary cats (actually it is just a filter for EU models) and keeping only an H pipe there, like the pre-facelift S450 (the S400). My advice is if you are putting C63 AMG (performance) exhaust, you an keep the flaps open, not a big deal. I have no drone and the car is not raspy or anything. Can send a video.

I would assume so, but to be sure I would contact weistec support to confirm. Another idea is to find someone with c450 or c43 and take some measurements of the original Intake.

@Boosted.450 No, that's what must be done to remove stuck bolts, every other method is a waste, you just get 3 different sizes of high end drill bits and work your way up until it disintegrates, the hole you drill will spit out material until the screw comes apart. You must buy a new bolt

Great question, video is coming out shortly, I just swapped the the speed and rpm dials from c63 cluster. I had it coded but it got replaced when the new tune got uploaded. Speed doesn't read correctly after 80mph at the moment but not to worry because I will cover the infotainment system to 2020 model so everything will get replaced again 😉

Mine got to 5k but we are working to move it even higher. Tuner is working on a new files soon and video will fallow after that.

You should get the upgraded intercooler for your turbos makes the air cooler and just the engine more reliable in general and will increase power I just bought a C43 amg im also a Mercedes Benz Mechanic

Usually, people just disable the stationary rev limit (typically 3000-5500rpm depending on the car) and allow the car to hit the actual rev limit (in this case, somewhere around 7000rpm)

Intake is great, I would do a dry fitment on the first part of the intake where the vents attached to the front support. Check out my intake video, where I show a small issue. Otherwise it an amazing intake

Lovely car, I have a C43 wagon in the uk and am installing the same rear diffuser next week. Did you come across any issues with wiring up the F1 style brake light? Where did you connect it to?

I really think you should get the tuner to squeeze up to ~480whp and 480wtq or have a seperate map for higher boost and see what times you run but other than that it looks great!

@@C43BEAST Microfiche does not show it as c450 amg anymore. While i was at the dealer I asked them "are you sure we are looking at the same parts" and they told me that within Mercedes there is no difference anymore. So not sure what to call it anymore :)

I would presume I am. Tune suggest that if I mix E85 (up to 4 gal) and the rest premium, it should bring me up to E30 and that would be good for the engine.

We can push for even more but, we have to consider that I would like to have this as daily and abuse it as much as I want. If we push too much and I break the engine then it defeat its purpose. At some point I will build the engine to support 5-600 hp or more so I can enjoy it without the worry of breaking it.

Alright man, I'm already subscribed! The stance in your car looks very good. Going further will be stretching it, so the OEM+ look is the way to go, I think. Now with going over 500hp do you have to worry about the connecting rods? From what I understand the M276 has forged pistons but not forged connecting rods and the wrist pin are weak and you can throw a rod when going over 500hp.

:) we will find out of one way or another.... I am a bit worried but I trust the tuner. As long as you don't introduce all the torque at once, then I think it will be reliable for a while.

I have a 2017 SLC 43AMG with a stg2 tune, inbox BMC air filters and direct downpipes. My tuner is probably the best in my country and did all my cars (and a lot of much more special super cars), so I trust him too. The thing is on the SLC, although he got an excellent 70+ hp in the mid range rpm, on the top rpm the car only gets like 30hp more than stock (only 400hp at the engine). He said that he can’t go higher because there are signs of starvation of fuel! I never heard of that. People talk about connecting rods failure only at over 500hp like you said. Do you know something about that starvation risk problem? I’m a bit frustrated with that result because my 2019 911 got over 100hp at max power on a conservative tune for track days!

@@MarMPB I think he is running out of fuel and having less fuel it means it lean. That can cause extra heat on the pistons. According to my results im at 440 at the wheels, so add another 18% loss on the 4 wheel drive, the engine should be around 519. Tuner does not want to go beyond that because of the fuel and the rods. I would say stay withing the limits to be safe.

Thanks, I opt-in to keep original exhaust because it sound so good already. But I got other mods coming in the pipeline such as retrofiring the 2019 infotainment system with digital cluster.

yes I bought a c63 cluster and swapped out the gauges. Also need to small tune for that because the speedo will not read correctly afterwords

If anyone is working on the W205 and you will be unplugging anything, make sure to disconnect the main power, plus remove the engine ECU.
