A ballad about a guy's car, his '32 Ford. You gotta' love it. Classic Beach Boys. It was from the LP "Little Deuce Coupe" and other car songs like "This Car of Mine" and "Spirit of America"

@@cidertom5140 Coco Montoya was originally a drummer and the story goes that Albert Collins heard him playing one night and asked him if he would go on the road with him. Montoya was quick to accept and asked Collins when, tomorrow night was the answer. I believe he spent close to 10 years with Collins and when not busy, Collins taught Montoya to play guitar. Collins being right handed but Montoya a lefty, he now plays the guitar upside down with the low E at the bottom just like Doyle Bramhall II. Saw him in a little club in Claremount CA back around 2000, great night. Club owner had to tell him to stop playing at 2am so they could close but Montoya just kept going.

This is fairly faithful rendition of the 1973 studio recording, especially 40 years later! Interesting that a few months after "The Joker" was released (Fall 1973), the SMB was playing on one of those late-night concert shows. These performances were live, not lip-synching. They played "Sugar Babe", but it sounded hardly anything like their own recent record!

I bought Alphonse's Canopus signature snare drum at NAMM. I pulled the head and he signed it for me. Went to dinner with him that night along with several other Canopus artists.....he was a perfect gentleman.
