I think you did a great job with what you did. I think clear nails would work better, but the whole point of nail enhancement is to give you what you don't have, and girl, you have beautiful naturals! On that note, I think a thin design covered with a bit of clear for layering depth would enhance the design. Another thing I see so many artists overlook is lighting. Lighting makes all the difference. I mean, indoor v.s. outdoor and time of day, color filters, the list goes on. ❤

I use a nickel size drop of coconut oil and a teaspoon of tumeric and a toothbrush to brush my nails and just like teeth it will whiten your nails. Or the Crest whitening toothpaste.. And brush my nails for about 5 minutes and it works good to . I'm a smoker so they get yellow.

would it work if i did a colored base, then added pink chrome powder all over, and then added designs using top coat/another silver chrome powder? i think that's what you did for the first one, but what if I end up wiping off the entire pink chrome powder with the alcohol vs the extra silver chrome powder? i would want to keep both the pink and just have silver flowers?

At what point? You need to top coat over chrome always. If you don’t then yes you can wipe it off.

Ok, here’s what you do. 1. color base 2 no wipe top coat for 25 seconds 3. Chrome 4. Base coat and cure; Top coat entire nail and cure for 25 seconds - Chrome the entire layer - then top coat your design. 5. Full cure and wipe nail of excess chrome. 6. Base and top coat to seal in. Let me know if this makes sense. If not I can do a quick video tonight and post it for you!!!

If you want marbling, try rolling out 2 rope and twisting them together n then fold n twist n roll, etc. Lovely!❤

For me, the problem was from the start, but not so much to do with your ability, or lack there of, to draw the abstract lines/patterns on the nails. The problem was because you started off with your nails not having the “glass nail effect”. If you would have started with cutting your natural nails off and applying Gel X clear full cover nails, the end results would have been so much better! I think the look started off wrong and just got worse. I get not wanting to chop off your beautiful natural nails, but when you choose a design like this one and don’t start with “glass like nails”, you’re doomed for failure. I think this design is stunning and would love for you to give it another try when you no longer have such long natural nails, or are willing to cut them off. 😏

Oooh, Oh I have a suggestion for a future video, if you could 🙏 I absolutely LOVE magnetic polish, but for the life of me, I seriously struggle BIG TIME! 😫 You’re so good at explaining your steps and am sure you could make this so much easier to understand. Try a floss pick with the taut section of floss which makes creating the lines really easy. Agree on the background. The nails turned out cute❤

Jello Jello definitely works best on natural nails. It does last a lot longer directly on natural nails rather than on a base (contrary to manufacturer's instructions). The One Kill needs time to work, so dont rush the renoval process. Let the liquid work its magic and there should be pretty much no effort. And the orange stick is gentler on the natural nails, too. 7:01 that does look like pterygium... 😬

I personally don't like using peel off base coat gel. I prefer on my natural nails a light coating of builder gel then use water-based peel base like Unt. I'll proceed with my gel manicure thereafter. There is a chance that it will chip within a week's time. This is fine with me since I like to do a 🎉manicure design at least once a week.

I love Aurora nails! This true Aurora look and not that airbrush going around. I really wish I could get the big pieces/ shapes to work. I wish those cut outs were stickers like they say. I’m not sure why no one has actually made them stickers. Maybe 1 day but this technique worked nicely!

Very pretty, I agree it's a pain to work with it...I did it once and it literally hurt my eyes as bright as that stuff is...Will probably never do it again, unless there is an easier way...

They make pre-cut shapes, but I can never find the size that I like and then the rest goes to waste even if I do. 🤷♀️ would probably work best cut smaller and then used with acrylic to encapsulate it, but I hardly ever do acrylic on myself. ❤️

The tacky layer is what helps the top coat stick. So if I do something in the process to remove it, then I use primer again so that the top coat doesn’t chip or wear away.

The Dgels can separate so make sure to give em a little mix before you use them. Love this funky design! ❤

Geesh I think you may have gotten a bad pot of the dgel paint! I’ve never seen it look like that. I have tons of dgel pots and it’s my favorite art get. But I haven’t tried MG art gels yet…I may need to! I have the MPA palette, nails by dev liners and some others but I don’t like how clumpy they are- it’s hard to explain but they aren’t smooth when they drag- but I like the dgel ones a lot. ❤

Unfortunately no, that’s what it is. I had it replaced and it was exactly the same. Milky white, very translucent. But MG has the white back in stock so I was able to get that again. ❤️❤️❤️
