Lovely video. I like your motorhome and your storage ideas. I am looking forward to buying another model of explorer motorhomes soon, and I will definitely apply some of your storage tips.

Thanks for posting your videos & we have a beagle Holly who will be travelling with us to TAS as well. Q how did you find going around with dog restricted access to parks etc. Thanks from SA
@AngieChauАй бұрын
Thanks. We had planned from the onset that 99% of the time we would only go to places that would allow dogs to make it easier :) … there was a few occasions we had to leave her sleep in the motorhome for a short period of time for activities that we couldn’t bring her with us but we would also plan to do it around her nap time (after a meal and a walk). Hope you guys and Holly have a great time together ☺️

Those hilux motorhomes that every country in the world except north America has are soo nice. America sucks at making motorhomes that are less than 20 ft long

Having a campervan is my dream. May I know how much does it costs to buy 1 in Australia?
@AngieChauАй бұрын
Hi Kenny, the prices vary depending on what you’re wanting. Generally speaking they can go as low as $100k to as high as $270k. It would be best to contact the manufacturers directly for the best advice. We love our campervan from Explorer Motorhomes and highly recommend them. Happy travels!

Hi Angie! Thanks for your inspirational video. You guys helped us heaps with our decision process. You guys look like you're having fun on the road. We have a dog thats a "little" bit bigger than yours and hopefully will be travelling in the next year or so.... Just wondering if you have encountered any flaws or quality and any problems with your build. Looking forward to your next video adventure! Cheers D
@AngieChau2 ай бұрын
Hi D, Thanks and great to hear you have found our vid helpful with your decision process 💚.. Hope you guys and the fur baby have a great time travelling in your Explorer Motorhome!! Sounds exciting and the wait is definitely worth it ☺️ In terms of flaws / quality, we haven’t encountered any major issues with our build. We truly enjoy our travels with this motorhome and love the layout. There were a couple of minor issues at the start but it could be easily fixed on the phone with Explorer (for example, leakage in the water pipe during our shake up trip and we could easily fix it with Explorer’s step by step instructions on the phone / text ) Currently the only issue we are having is one of the USB ports is not working .. not sure why, could be wear and tear and we’re planning to replace it ourselves. Other than that everything else is working as they should be. Thought I’d also share that there are a couple of things I would probably modify / add in my next build to suit our needs (if we ever decide to do it 😅), a few examples are: remove the aircon and have another ceiling fan instead , potentially a bigger fridge and battery, add a slide-out countertop extension (I already have a design that I like ) so we have a bigger countertop space for food preparation but can he hidden away when we don’t need it. We might also change the current table to a Lagun style so the tabletop can be moved in any direction easily, we might also replace the current pantry next to the fridge with drawers so we don’t have to open the main door first and pull the drawers out. Hope that answered your question and feel free to ask us any follow-up questions Happy travels! Cheers Angie

HI Angie, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this video and share, it has been super helpful. I am looking at the pathfinder extreme as a solo traveller. Can I ask how you have found the camper since you did this video? If you were to buy another one, would you buy the same or change anything?
@AngieChau4 ай бұрын
Hi Suzzanne, thanks for watching and glad to hear it was helpful. The short answer to your question is yes, if we were to buy another one we would still go with this model as the layout works really well for us. We would probably make a few changes in terms of storage. Explorer have done a great job but there are still a few times that I wish I could modify a few things to make it work perfectly 😅 … I would probably think through the storage solution needed from the entry point (ie. where do we store our shoes, umbrella, bits and pieces etc) to other possible organisation solutions for things like cooking (ie. maybe we could ask them to add an folding bench top over the fridge so we have more counter space or where to put condiments, oil, etc), laundry, .. maybe a place to store a second cassette tank so it can give us more toilet days, also we find we don’t use the aircon unit as much as we thought so we would have it removed from the build as well to save 35kg for other useful things :) just a few things that could have been easier to make during the build rather than retrofitting after (eg. the laundry cabinet under the sink that we made to make use of the space under the sink and to hide the big thing below it) In terms of what we like about the floor plan for two people: - we like the two single N-S pull out beds as this saves space when not in use and our sleep is not disturbed like when one person needs to go for a toilet break in the middle of the night etc - when we were looking for a motorhome and went to the caravan shows to check out the ones on display, we decided the rear bathroom would be what we wanted as we didn’t like the wet bathroom style - this vision model was probably the only one with the clean look that we found on the market at the time. There’s so much airspace inside and I love it every time I step inside the motorhome, it feels like living in a tiny cosy wood cabin. I saw some motorhomes with lots of cabinets inside and it makes it feel a bit sophisticated. - the decision factor for us was also the one piece fibreglass body as we have heard bad experiences of leaking from other motorhomes that don’t have this type of build Sorry for a long-winded answer 😅 .. hoping it might give you a feel for what we like and what we might change if we were to buy another one :) Good luck with your purchase .. sounds like a great choice ☺️and happy travels! 💚

Would like to see how you store utilities including ramps, hoses, power cables etc. Also where do you carry folding chairs and your outside table? Have you tried using a wash bucket with a lid to do washing as you travel?
@AngieChau6 ай бұрын
I have replied to your comment in the other vid. Hope that answered some of the questions here. We carry scrubba bag and collapsible bucket (without a lid though) for washing (for now)… this is something we’re still working on to find a smart solution :)

At 6:34 you appear with two plastic ramps, where do you carry these? Also, where do you carry your folding table, chairs and dog beds? Is there a storage tube or bin for grey-water drain hose and fresh-water hose?
@AngieChau6 ай бұрын
Hope the below answers some of your questions: - plastic ramps are stored in a bag and stored in the top locker at the entrance. - all the other items (table, chairs, dog bed) are stored behind the passenger’s seat. - fresh / grey flat water hoses are reeled up inside the flat out multi reel storage (you can google this product for more details). They are stored (stacked up) inside the external locker. Hopefully when I can do a vid to share more details about the storage solutions for these items it would make it easier to see. In the mean time, please feel free to drop any further questions you might have. Happy travels 😊

It’s best to contact Explorermotorhomes.com.au for the up to date pricing info as prices depend on optional upgrades (things like diesel heater, extra solar panels, higher battery capacity, etc) that you want to add. There is a list of upgrades on their website. For our motorhome, the base price was about $160,000AUD + $20,000AUD for upgrades at the time we purchased it a few years ago. Hope that helps 😊

Yes we were glad to be able to leave her inside our motorhome after seeing the small cages and how noisy it was. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to physically check on her during the trip… hence we were using a camera to have a quick check whenever there was reception. Luckily she was sleeping like a baby whenever we checked on the camera .. I think her favourite sleep music together with a long walk prior to departure helped ! 😊
