i have an issue when i put my ef lens on using the same adaptor it doesnt think i have a lens on and the aperature is F00. sorry if this is a mess i dont really know how to word it can you help?

It`s hard to say without info on the gear, but if the aperture shows f00 It`s usually either an electronic connector problem or simply no compatibilty between camera and lens. In other words it could be a problem with the adapter or it could be the lens itself. Maybe you should have it checked out at a photo store or something, to get a more acurate/qualified answer.

What about the autofocus after using the adapter? Does it work normally?

This lens works fine with the autofocus (canon EF 75-300mm is) - However I have experienced that not all lenses are compatible with the autofocus electronics in the adapter, for example the common ef-s 18-55mm is not. That only works manually. So there is not all that are totally compatible, but many are.

with this canon adapter you should be able to make ef mount lenses work on your r100, however there are some ef and ef-s lenses that doesn`t respond to autofocus. some older ef and ef-s lenses might not be compatible with the electronics in the lensadapter supporting the more advanced R cameras. But you should be able to manage shooting and aperture changes. If you can`t do that there might be some issues with the adapter itself.

I`m not sure what the question is, but if it is about using a kit lens from the canon 5d mark ii onto a newer R system canon camera using an adapter, it might work with some limitations. There could be some hardware problems with those older EF lenses. I`m not really sure since I have never tried.

Make sure that you use lenses that are hardware adaptable. Even if most EF and EF-S lenses can be used with a mount adapter, it could still be a problem with age. older EF & EF-S lenses lack FULL COMPATIBILTY with the EOS R series.

Since the R50 has a crop sensor (aps-c) it is best fit with RF-S lences. But you can also use a mount adapter if you want to use the former EF lens from canon.

A lens adapter allows you to connect lenses with a different lens mount to your camera. In this video it`s about a canon adapter that you can put lenses with the older EF mount system onto the newer Canon R mount system. So for example, if you have older lenses with EF and EF-S mounts, you can get an adapter like this and make them work with your R10 camera. However, the original mount, in your case, the newer R system is the most optimal solution for your photography. Hope this made any sense :-)

What is raw+jpeg actually? I know these two separately but how do they perform together? What would be the advantage of shooting with this?

The advantage of this setting is that you shoot both RAW and JPEG at the same time with each image. They are, as you say separat, but you have the choice of either use the compressed jpeg file of the image, or the the much larger RAW file. If you like to do adjustments of your photo and edit it, there will be huge advantages of using the RAW file because it contains so much more information.

@@EHVisual thank you so much for replying quickly. I need your help with one more thing. My dial buttons on dslr which we use to navigate up, down,right and left have suddenly stopped working. They're working when i use them in menu options but not working when i am taking a picture and i wanna adjust the settings like shutter or aperture. My camera is canon eos 6d. I have looked for tutorials but I cant find one. Done removing the batter and then inserting back. Didn't work. Please help me out.

Hi, sorry but this specific mount adapter will not work with a sony e mount lens. You will need an adapter made for your canon m50 with an EF-M mount converting to Sony E mount lenses. Even if such an adapter exists, I would recommend considering to stick with a compatible lens, which is ef-m for your camera. This is due to keep optimal performance and image quality. Even if sony and canon may appear alike in many ways, there will obviously also be many differences, which may cause issues between them paired together.

I'm sorry but Sony E mount lenses cannot be adapted to EF-M lens mount. Sony E mount and EF-M mount sit the lenses at the same distance from the sensor, so the adapter would need to be 0mm thick, which is impossible

Hi there. well, I really don´t know. I have only been using it on my canon R camera. This specific adapter is meant to convert the R mount into EF mount on that R type camera. it might fit other cameras as well, but I would check that out first. If it can be used on the Nx300, it would be possible to use the EF 50 stm canon lens as well I suppose. Thanks for watching :-)

The Canon EOS 2000D, known as the Rebel T7 in the Americas, as the Kiss X90 in Japan and as the 1500D in southeast Asia, so it`s the same i guess

Please place the sensor facing downwards when exchanging the lenses, otherwise dust and dirt could enter it and attack it.

yes, there will always be a possibility for dust to enter the sensor wile changing the lens. So make it swift gentle, and if you prefer, facing downwards. If some dust should enter the inner parts, I actually have a short video about removing it as well :) off course with the camera sensor facing downwards...
