Seriously, no one but the naive is going to buy into the mythology spun by Billy in this video that he's a "victim". Mitchell was canceled in America for good reason. He's narcissistic, cruel when crossed, and exceedingly vengeful against critics who get too close to the truth, which is what historical researchers are supposed to do. I mean, look at him in this video. Does he look warm, kind and collected? Does he honestly look like a persecuted man? Do you hear remorse in his voice or see it in his mannerisms? No, he looks like an angry and bitter man looking for someone...anyone...to take his anger out on. Journalists and historians are his fave targets btw. You know, people who are keen at researching and presenting documented facts? Woe be to the journalist who doesn't allow him to dictate the questions or allow him to control the conversation. Mitchell isn't a victim. Good god, if people in the UK only knew how vast and how long the deceptions of Twin Galaxies and Mitchell went. (That's another story entirely, folks) So, no one is to blame for Mitchell's downfall but himself. He was dishonest, got caught by various people, and instead of admitting it and working it out, he decided to harass his critics with frivolous lawsuits, which backfired in a Streisand Effect. Two of the men he sued but later retracted the lawsuits from, later committed suicide which led to some speculating that Mitchell was to blame. Although Mitchell isn't directly to blame, as suicide is a personal act, being wrongly sued in America is a ruinous thing socially, financially, and psychologically. Basically, it doesn't do much for one's mental health to have a frivolous suit threatening their livlihood. In America, these kinds of revenge suits are often used to bankrupt the target or render them unemployable. In many States, there are laws against them, but not all. SLAPP suits, as they are called, are known as being the "weapons of the guilty" as they are stragically used as "gag orders" and to enact revenge on whistleblowers. Got to hand it to Billy, though. He registered only a barely noticeable tremble when he bullshitted his way through why he was canceled in America; he hardly broke talking about Apollo, the suicides (plural) and the threatened/pending lawsuits (also plural). Would have been nice to hear him tell everyone the truth regarding just how many people he had lined up to sue.
