Looks like a nice saw, but why do we need Bluetooth power tools. It just seems like one more thing to fail. Regards I would also like to hear the saw running. Noise is always a concern. Really like those track clamps!
@ReclaimDesign21 күн бұрын
It's not needed - some people just like gadgets! And the track clamps are very handy.

What a lousy review,. Most peop-le want to know how the saw performs. Watching you make coffee is not why I went to the channel. Then you admit issues you have no idea. Terrible

Nice little drill with good power! Those Bosch Freak impacts are shockingly weak, they're one of the slowest drivers in the market

One of the best tea light holders I’ve seen. Your so right just make what you enjoy making for your videos that’s what I decided to do from the outset By the way you brought back so many memories with the Triton 2000 workstation I had one many many years ago and loved it

the video is well documented, very informative! A couple of questions I have regarding the router. It has variable speeds on it, do you ever use that particular function, I understand one won’t when you using the straight bit, but I always wondered if for rounding edges or flush trim one might. how do you set the router how much it needs to recess for the depth of the tile.
@ReclaimDesign2 ай бұрын
Glad you like the video. Thanks for the comment! You can use the depth stop on a plunge base router to set the depth for recessing the tile. Zero the bit on the workpiece first then lock off before inserting the tile in the depth stop and adjusting there. You can do it with a fixed base router too as I do in the video. Flip the router over and hold the tile up to the bit and adjust like that. There is no quick answer for the router speed question. Depends on whether soft wood/hard wood. I tend to do multiple shallow passes so not usually an issue for bit burning etc

That looks great! Nice work. Do you fill in around the tile to keep food particles from dropping down in the crack between the tile and the wood?
@ReclaimDesign2 ай бұрын
Hi Ted we originally made the tile fit exactly to the wood but then found the tiles sometimes crack with wood movement, So now we leave a gap which accounts for this and so far has been working well

@ReclaimDesign4 ай бұрын
I don't know to be honest. It depends where you live, how busy the store is and how helpful the staff at the store are. Best thing is to head down and ask them if they can help you out with the cuts you want to make (work out your measurements beforehand to make life easier for them).
