If you get the chance to see them live, you will not believe how incredible they are live! Their sound on stage is spot on they sound as good as their recordings! Saw them way back in OKC and was totally amazes at their sound! What a band!!!

I've just received some horrible news! Just two months after filming this video, I've learned that one of the islands is being evacuated due to rising sea levels. Researchers speculate the islands may be completely gone within a few decades! It's crazy to think I visited these islands, and could see them disappear in my lifetime. It's crazy to think that some day my footage may be amongst the few records that are left of these islands. This will be a great loss not only for the Guna and Panama, but the entire explorer and research community. No other place like this exists in the Western hemisphere! I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to visit and document these special islands, and share them with you!

I'm going to see Jeff's ELO on August 30th in Portland. I can't wait! And I have seats just right of center, level 3 nosebleed seats, just like you had. At my age, I'm sure this will be my last concert. I hope his final song is 'Roll Over Beethoven', the Chuck Berry classic. That would be a fitting bookend to my concert history since Chuck Berry was my first concert in 1970.

If I was closer, I would've. I figured people would want to see the band members, but I'll keep that in mind for future concert videos.

Due to recent events in Tulum and throughout Quintana Roo, I would like to point out that this video was created solely for educational purposes, and is by no means meant to promote or encourage travel to dangerous regions. Always do your research and use your own judgement when planning a trip.

Chichen Itza is a place that had been on my bucket list since childhood, and due to factors that were out of our control, we got the opportunity to explore this incredible and iconic site on our own without a guide. While having a guide can be insightful, exploring a place like this on your own, with just your notes and guidebook is a far more rewarding experience. More often then not, tour guides tend to rush you or only show you the most famous spots. I think missing out on certain information is worth the compromise to be able to go where you want at your own pace and truly take it all in. If I went back a dozen times, I would do it on my own each time.

Now that I've posted all my Merida videos, I will say that Merida was a place that neither disappointed me nor astonished me. It had some nice attractions and architecture, but nothing that really stood out and made me go "WOW! This was worth the trip!" There wasn't as much to see as I thought, and the most important sites could in theory all be visited in one day, but I'd recommend at least 2 if you don't want to rush. That being said, if I were to do this trip again, I would base myself in Progreso and only visit Merida as a day trip. Because while I still think the city has some things that are worth visiting, it's not a relaxing place to stay. I didn't consider Progreso because I thought getting there from the airport and getting tours from there would be a challenge, but this wasn't the case. So if you're considering visiting this part of Mexico, I recommend staying in Progreso.

I saw the original ELO (Jeff, Richard, Mick, Bev etc) three times in the 70's and they were brilliant. I've seen Jeff Lynne's ELO twice in and they were just as good, if not better. Such a shame they didn't tour for such a long time. They've been one of my favourite all-time groups.

Hey, I’d go see the play in a junkyard if they came here. One of the greats that I haven’t”t gotten to see & would love to. This is a real band with outstanding musicians that are masters at what they do. Not just some 4 chord 2 hit wonder band. Then add in the show ! 2024 would be great

There are certain things you'll never be able to convey through video. Italy was byfar the most expensive, exhausting and logistically challenging adventure of my life. But on my last trip to Europe I came home with a lot of regrets. I regretted not exploring more on my own. I regretted not visiting other parts of Spain and France. Italy had been a dream of mine for so long, and I didn't wanna leave the with the same feelings or regret, so this time around I decided I would give myself a challenge but do it right. I decided I would do less group tours and more independent travel, and this time I would try to hit as many of the iconic places as possible, and I wouldn't restrict myself to just one region and hotel. But even so, I still wasn't able to see everything I would have liked and feel I only scratched the surface of this fascinating yet complex country.

This leg of my Italian adventure was done completely on a whim. I had toyed around with the idea of visiting only Burano, but eventually decided to opt out. Meaning, the Venetian Islands were not originally part of my itinerary, so no extensive research was conducted prior to embarking on this cruise, therefore this video was almost entirely improvised.

He's officially touring and marketing touring under the name "Jeff Lynn's ELO". But honestly, I think it's fine. They had so many band members and backup musicians, that no one even knows. The singer is the most important. Though I will say that these new backup singers could have at least TRIED to hit those high notes on "Telephone Line".
