Why on Earth haven't individual car buffs nor major car manufacturers decided to convert a plug-in hybrid PHEV to run on combustible hydrogen PHEV+H? Equivalent MPG could be twice or three times that of a standard or performance drivetrain ICEngine running on hydrogen. Oh well.

Has anyone tried slapping a Duramax in one of these?
@tcimuscle2 ай бұрын
Not yet, but we have done quite a few earlier trucks (47-54/55-59) with Duramax and Cummins engines. The C10 frame rails are a little narrower but it's definitely doable.

How many degrees of camber does that drive auto collision C10 have? I saw it in an autotopiala video and the stance is killer
@tcimuscle2 ай бұрын
Not exactly sure as we didn't align it but we recommend 2.5-3 for autocross/Road Race with our suspension.

Hydrogen is D.O.A. Huge con job. Never going to happen.
Im a 100% gearhead and with the hydrogen cars keep their internal combustion engine so its not so bad. I like it.

As a fellow falcon owner, I love to see our hobby continue and no longer be a detriment to the environment. How does this retrofit deal with the low ignition energy of hydrogen safely? Are the fuel lines/tanks designed to prevent or detect leakage? Very excited to see more of this in the aftermarket!

Yes, this kit will also work on a long bed. Our ride height is adjustable so you can set it at 6" +/-1"

Do you guys have the installation tutorial for the 47-54 Chevy grounded chassis !? That would be amazing .. these videos are extremely helpful
@tcimuscle5 ай бұрын
Sorry, we don't. The assembly is nearly identical between the two generations of trucks. The main difference is that the 47-54 has running boards.
@WilliamKiene-yg7rq5 ай бұрын
Looks like you have way too much body roll. This car would do better on a faster open road racing course with lots of straightaways.
@tcimuscle5 ай бұрын
Body roll isn't necessarily a bad thing. In these limited grip situations (tires/surfaces) we need the suspension to be compliant. Listen again to the opening remarks in the video. We had a stiffer rear set up the weekend before and the car was very loose. So we dropped rear spring rate for this event and it helped. There is definitely more left in the car's set-up but stiffer isn't the answer.
@WilliamKiene-yg7rq5 ай бұрын
@@tcimuscle I think you need at least one old professional road racing guy on your team. I was with my uncle in the 1960s and 1970s road racing the West Coast tracts with real race cars. None of them had any body roll. Road racing is way different than drags or oval tracks.
@tcimuscle5 ай бұрын
@@WilliamKiene-yg7rq It's more about the tires than anything. Soft tires with tall sidewalls need a stiff chassis. In case you haven't heard of Ed Moss, our founder, that's exactly what he is. A championship winning driver from the Riverside Raceway era. While we may stiffen the vehicles up "slightly" for higher speed events we're still limited to 200 Treadwear, short sidewall street tires. But yeah, it would never hurt having a pro driver making us look better than we already are.
@WilliamKiene-yg7rq5 ай бұрын
@@tcimuscle I appreciate your kind and understanding feedback and have to confess to you that I am 78 so much of my experience is old. I am excited that you shared some of these new technologies with me. I rode in and drove some serious road racing cars in the 1960s and they were stiff as a board and teeth chattering. I just subscribed. Thanks.

How embarrassing for me. I just noticed this is actually the iconic TCI KZfaq channel, the most famous chassis builders in the World. Do you have a chassis for a 1953 Studebaker coupe?
