It's good to know that it finally works properly, I have mine a little disassembled because one of the bolts on the thermostat housing broke and I couldn't get it out. and i have to replace some old burned hoses and the faulty temp sensor

My 940 b230fk has had a developing problem of the car just shutting down when idle or when pressing clutch when coming to a stop. No resistance or anything, just dies completely and then often times starts up but sometimes it does not start up at all, it will only start again after you hear the fuel bump buzzing. I have replaced fuel filter and checked for leaks, both good. Gonna replace relay next, hopefully it fixes it.

I just did this job on my 2002 S80. I just wacked the old hubs/bearings with a heavy hammer and they all came out like that, no press, no special tool needed. Yes I am in countries with snow and salt: Switzerland and The Netherlands and Northern France. I guess the XC70 is different than the S80.

Just a note, the B20 EFI exhaust is 2-1/4" to flow better. That's about as large as you will want.

In my opinion, this is the only real weak point on the 940 cars - these silly electronic fans and all the stuff they require to run them. It seems the previous owner found a better solution...to turn on the fan when the water reached a specific temp, rather than relying on the ECU to control it. The sender in the hose also allows you options to choose a value / range to trigger the fan vs. using the stock programming - which also seems to wait way too long to turn on the fan (and the engine tends to run much hotter than it was originally intended).

It's another temp.sender for the instrument it's placed a bit to the right under the intake. There should not be any result on the instrument when ju has loosend the kontakt on the right sensor if i remember right i should be under the intake for cyl.3

You at least got a camshaft. Yes, the right cam helps but it really focuses engine speed more than being a revelation. I learned not to go too far with camshafts. Under speccing a camshaft is better than over speccing it. More than 12mm of valve lift is a diminishing return. I hope you got something to match the Weber DCOEs.

i have the inverse problem, the fan on my 940 turns on right after i turn on the engine even if the sensor is not connected, ill try checking the resistance of the sensor after i put it on hot water

I remember 30 years ago. Poor idling occasionally stalls, wasn’t sure how true but the correct Peugeot oil filter solved problem. Today still sounds a load of old twoddle. 🤣🤣🤣

I thought the B230FT? had a switch mounted in radiator and is not controlled by module.
