Need more torque specs for future reference. You can also wedge a screw driver in the fins against the caliper bracket or pop the center of the wheel out as the tires are kissing the ground

After doing this on my 07 TSX I realized immediately after reinstalling that my door has to be slammed to close could it be out of alignment or is the latch just bad ? it closed fine before removing it I’m gonna start looking at the strike pin or the door sagging

I'm surprised you didn't bother to check the spark plug gaps. I ordered Densos twice now and they have both come with way tighter gap than they're supposed to. They also have the protective plastic. I guess if it runs right its not that big of a deal? And they will increase gap as they age it seems. But personally I will regap all mine correctly.

Very important thing that was not mentioned. Every vehicle have its own refrigerant capacity. And it is very important to fill your system with exactly right amount of refrigerant for your vehicle. That the AC will work perfectly.

Thank you! Mine just failed. I went shopping, came back to the car, and the key wasn't unlocking the door. I panicked. Luckily it did open one last time while I reefed on it. This is a quick and easy fix. Got a good price on Amazon ($15 CAD with Prime) and will have it tomorrow. Thanks for this awesome video!

Watched this video twice & was able to knock it out in about an hour… for some god awful reason - on the 06 model, they decided to put that hard coolant hose smack dab right over the 3rd coil. Didn’t want to disassemble a coolant hose just to get to the valve cover

For that year Chevy, would it be safe to say 2 oz of PAG 46 oil in the New Accumulator, 2 oz more in a new condenser and 2 oz more in an empty compressor? I'm guessing 2 oz are in the Evaporator and hoses to equate out to 8 oz in total for the entire unit. I know to much oil or to little oil will cause all kinds of issues and compromise the longevity of the compressor shelf life. No post found on the process to adequate oil and what happens if to much or not enough is added.

Thanks for the info. When I tightened the bolt for the center bearing and tried to get to torque spec, it turned the drive shaft and flange about 1/2 an inch. Manual transmission was in 1st gear. Truck on ground. Did I mess up the transmission? I backed it off slightly to get flange in original spot

HOW LONG DID ALL OF THIS TAKE? I'M FIGHTING WITH AN REPAIR GUY, TRYING TO CHARGE ME 8 HOURS LABOR COST. HE CLAIMS HE CAN'T GET OUT SOME OF THE BOLTS AND WANT TO SEND THIS PROBLEM TO ANOTHER GUY. WAIT FOT ME TO OK THIS. BUT THIS WILL BE MORE MONEY. ALL HE DID SO FAR IS TAKE IT APART.

Remember if you live in a rut a couple days before soak everything down and some kind of oil spray and then get yourself a compressor and blow all the dirt off before you take the top of that tank apart. There’s gonna be rust particles mud dirt salt you gotta get rid of all that and then while you got the bed off, make sure that you do some rust Fix stuff under you know you got the bed off you Mazel fix everything while you’re there

Just did this on my 1997 C3500 truck. I was replacing all the steering components. I started out mounting the bracket first too, but I didn't want to try forcing the idler arm in, so removed the new bracket again, the loosely connected the idler arm to both the center link and the bracket, then pushed the bracket down in place on the frame. I was able to see inside the frame from the holes in the bottom toward the front to guide my socket extension. Dropped a bolt inside, but it wasn't hard to fish out with a little magnet extension. Don't forget to grease everything after install, that bracket took alot of grease to fill.

Well yeah on an old car I would change the condenser that does wear out since it is aluminum and like 200 plus psi for the better part of ten years? Forgot how old it is there. Tho doing that for years and years and years pretty sure it can do that too much anymore where it’ll not have good high side pressure anymore. The condenser is very important too in an ac system too the liquid refrigerants starts there I’d also check the fan too but usually that’s been replaced because it wears out more often because spinning. lol.

Well from all the researh ive done i say you made 4 critical mistakes first you should of opened both valves on recovery tank if brand new to let the Nitrogen out that its shipped with. (Atmosphere is fine with nitro) second hooked a vacuum pump to the recovery tank and let that baby rip for about 30-60min to make sure its sucked of everything you can get. Think of it as you're the tank and best BJ ever didnt miss a drop. 😉 Next purge the hoses open valves up on manifold and recovery machine leave valve on tank closed then crack open the hose to tank fitting until you get refrigerent out then tight immediately. Finally only open the low side! Leave high side shut
