I remember seeing the commercial for MVP baseball and losing my mind 😂 at this point it was by far the best baseball game to ever come out at that time.

Bro! Best MLB game ever! I originally bought this on a whim back in 2006 while I was in the U.S. Navy. I didn't realize what a gem of a game this was. Fastforward to 2022, I re-bought it off ebay and I can't stop collecting items and playing the minigames. They packed this game up to the brim with re-playability.

Agreed!! I find this game so much better than the new games, I’ve been playing it on and off since I got it back in 2005, and it never gets old. The mini games are great and there’s so much to do, never gets boring!!

Finally hope again lol. So nice that you actually have the ability to get a good recruiting class now. As for the all athlete mode I'd say don't limit yourself to one state but allow yourself to get players from all over the country.

I was going to say the same thing. Would have to use a Cali or Tex team to get enough interested athletes but can still go after any other athletes. I think it would be super hard since athletes usually aren’t good OL or kicker/punter… still would be fun to see.

Zambrano for the best rental DH guy you can get. At 24 Zambrano didnt really grow and his only and only job is hitting and hes only ok at it.

Agreed, was hoping he would have more power and HR this year but hasn’t happened. Can probably package him up with some bullpen depth / AAA guys to get a decent power bat

Would love to see how the sim goes with more strategy in the middle, super aggressive is an easy 3 turnovers a game even with a good QB. Gotta play balanced to win. Also, kicking and punting matters a lot in sims, you should be thinking about carrying 2 at each spot, or at the very least 3 specialists in total, in case of injury or suspension.

I need to find a way to keep Wilson up, but expecting he’ll be full time MLB next year, and an injury plug in for now. But as you said, if Bradford can’t figure it out, Wilson will be taking his spot

Unfortunately I dont think there is, unless I turn injuries fully off, but don’t want to do that. It is a shame though that injuries seem pretty common, but that’s just football!

Reminder guys often play both ways in college, that athlete could be your HB and FS. That MLB can backup at TE looks like he is good enough. Same goes for positional changes, no need to change their position to a lower overall for backups when you can just slide them over on the depth chart to be a backup at another spot.

Yea seems like chances for injury would be higher but when I played this game they never got hurt any more frequent than other guys. Don’t think there is a stamina rating in the game so they can just play the whole game lol Travis Hunter plays WR and CB now for Colorado, Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey did the same. Pretty awesome when you have a legit athlete to play both sides!

Yeah, go with the money makers first. Stadium seats, concession stands, shops, etc. Then go with the ads, restaurant, scoreboard, lights, and fireworks. Think of it as a business move. Get all the seats you can...then give a good reason to fill those seats.

Overall that was a very good season! My one and only criticism is that the As NEED and better DH that being said you can definitely wait until after spring training to address this as internal options may be able to fix the "problem". Sucks to lose to the Twins but look at it this way losing to the Champs in game 7 bottom of the 9th can't really get any closer to a win

Zambrano just didn’t hit as well as I was hoping for at DH, we’ll see if he progresses this off season. Really hoping an internal option has a big boost in stats and can plug in there next year! Made it super close with the Twins, next year hoping we meet them again in the playoffs!

Hey! Dynasty mode you have 1 year and 3 year goals to hit plus you have a budget for salary. Owner mode you look after all your finances, ticket prices, store, concessions, etc. You also get to build your own ballpark in owner mode, upgrading various things throughout the park and buying different attractions for fans!

For the athlete recruits look at their prospect grades and it’ll give you a hint at what position they’ll fit.

The idea was right on with using more points at the start but not on low and average guys… I was saying “nooooo” lol You had a bunch of 2 and 3 * very high guys that would’ve signed quickly. I know you signed that one 4* tackle who was average a few seasons ago but that is super rare. Go after high’s and very highs early, sign them, then go after your higher star long shots in the final week or two. After this stellar season you can hone in on your strategy for your new school! Schedule a few cupcakes out of conference to grab easy wins.

Ah okay! Was thinking the low and average guys I need to put more work on to work their interest levels up, but I’ve seen some of their interest go up on their own in the last week or two! Going to zero in on high interest guys early to fill needs, then the last few weeks can go after positions of “want” after filling the needs! Thanks for all the advice!

Would be good to focus on 15-20 players week 1 and give them a bunch of points to get them to sign quick. Instead of making sure you fill out 25 scholarships on guys you won’t get while spreading the points super thin. After guys sign week 1/2 you can go after others.
