There's a movie version of something called 'ANDROID KARENNINA'. Hahahaha.... that'll fix Don Pepas AI legs, but I won't be watching!!! I DID see, however, there's a Russian director, now deceased, "Georgy Daniylli" as best I can spell (Not quite right) whose movies I thought I might try? I got his name from an Otaba Yo song which I think is Cossacks Lezginka. I know, too much time..... Be well, and welcome to some of this rain here if CA needs it!

Here is the director you mentioned: Georgiy Nikolayevich Daneliya (Georgian: გიორგი ნიკოლოზის ძე დანელია; Russian: Георгий Николаевич Данелия; 25 August 1930 - 4 April 2019), also known as Giya Daneliya (Georgian: გია დანელია), was a Soviet and Russian film director and screenwriter of Georgian origin. His movies are somewhat art house movies; I am not a big fan. They are all part of the Soviet culture. My favorite one from his list of movies is "Mimino." But still, you need to be aware of the cultural references and inferences. Who knows, you may like it. Thank you for writing! By the way, Lezginka is not a Cossack dance but a Georgian one. Hugs!

I think some synopses (?sp?) did mention they were Soviet style movies but I was interested that a folk sounding group would mention a movie director, then I read a few were translated or closed captioned in a way so as to learn more Russian. And I guess the director was an award winner? I'll see. If not I'll find sci-fi Android Karennina, nope. Actually I am going to Mosfilm for AK. The name of the song must just be Lezginka, but the group has a lot of humor in their songs, so I must have decided they needed a Cossack. ( IDK where I got the Cossack from - meds, daydreaming,...) LOL. Now to understand what you did to get your keyboard to write that script. Getting Russian on mine is a goal. Alex knew how.

I just saw a headline stating cats have over 300 expressions to mean different things. I bet we'd have seen "expression" if he'd seen the vulture! Considering I've seen a hawk pick up a kitten, I am glad he didn't! Excellent lesson!

My dearest Pepusya and Lilechka, thank you for the cute lesson! ❤ That big bird, I hate to disappoint y’all, is a turkey vulture and not a California Condor. I was corrected once while still living there. Yes, turkey vultures look like condors and are in the same family. But they’re actually smaller. Here in VA they are a protected species, because they’re nature’s garbage disposals. We’ve seen them in our large back yard and…… we have fed them old scraps of food too. Yes, I’m confessing to doing something I’m technically not supposed to do. 🫣 The turkey vultures around here are not afraid of people or cars, because cars slow down when a vulture is doing a clean-up job on the road…. They serenely look at you and when you drive on, they continue. Anyway…… I’m happy that my Pepusya slept through this and didn’t have to worry about that большая птица - стервятник! 😂 Спасибо, дорогая Лилечка! ❤ PS We have seen beautiful bald eagles here too! 🦅🇺🇸❤️

Wow, what a relief! It's not a condor! I really didn't know much about these birds, but I see them all the time. Then I started researching them and concluded they were condors. Apparently, that was an ornithological error on my part :) Yes, Pepusya slept through it, and I am so glad that the turkey vulture was able to do its job. Yes, always! There was a guy in Costa Rica when I was debating whether to take Don Pepas with me to California who said, “he will die here without you, either an eagle or a snake will snatch him.” I imagined that so vividly that ended up bringing Don Pepas home with me 🤗

Yes, it’s a vulture, California Condor. They were almost extinct, but then through the conservation program at San Diego zoo they were successfully breed and reintroduced to the wild. Now we have plenty of them, but they are scary, that’s for sure. Thank you for watching! 🐈💖🐾😻

Are condors still rare? Glad you and El Senor are doing great after that experience. Your footage was wonderful! It is a lucky sight for you. I opened my front door one day to see a sandhill crane standing just on the other side! I closed it and backed up! They can be a bit aggressive if there's a chick near. My neighbor's cat, Lucy, was killed by being pecked to death with a pointed beak, sigh.

They were successfully reintroduced to the wild in the beginning of the 1990 after there were only about 30 left. Now they roam freely in many parts of western states. We have lots of them, and I even saw them in Puerto Vallarta when I run alone the deserted beach there.

@@RussianwithLilian I would be afraid of them! Do you know a reason they are bald, is it keeps the bacteria down, as most of what they eat is nasty. And I take it they are rather big, too. i thought of you, bc of the words (that sound like) banna and nada, which, for 5 min I knew the Russian definitions and also thought of Spanish sounds. Then I changed rooms, forgot everything, sigh. This old thing isn't fun. But please note I can remember things I don't use like buzzard head facts, LOL.

Wow. We don't get much bigger than wild turkeys or turkey buzzards. The hawks are pretty small. There are bald eagles in the area, but I've never seen one in the yard. I thought you got great footage, considering the circumstances.

I wanted to tell Somebody, I had trouble with THE IDIOT, almost as if it triggered me concerning past events. I am going to rewatch it, but I think the men not grabbing the money ANYWAY, the narcissistic woman (with issues, granted)..... the Prince was the only one who was NOT the Idiot. Why is kindness always misunderstood, esp. if he was dying, or still sick anyway? I am thinking maybe I can't handle the varying depths of different personalities, sigh.

Vasily Surikov's atrwork was so detailed and amazing, you can feel the energy and passion of this lady and the onlookers It was the same with the other 2 paintings you showed, he was very talented.
