Not really, I too dnt like those 1 shot d/d builds. They are useless. However, this build is not about 1 shot, cuz thats not my playstyle.

I tried out your build today and let me tell ya, I don't remember the last time I had that much fun. The only thing I changed was blinding powder to haste and daggers storm to impact strike

Thats great to hear. My purpose with this channel is to raise awareness about the D/D Thief thats been ignored by Anet for so long. Nd yeah, u can make those adjustments if u like, but I just sometimes love to Daggerstorm whole zergs, its fun! Nd the blinding powder has some offensive uses as well especially to get a direct backstab without needing Cloak nd Dagger.

Core thief needs a bit of a rework in general. Some of the traits are never used in any build.. D/d is not that viable simply because of the 3rd skill. Hopefully anet gives thief some love and quality of life changes.

Hi, its always great to meet another D/D Thief enthusiast. Yeah, that Green really pops. Its “Limesicle Dye” bdw. I have been playing D/D Thief for more than a decade and to me the fights are still really thrilling. Even though I have all the other classes with full ascended gear, however, I just cannot get myself to play anything else. Core D/D Thief can dish out more damage but its survive cannot be as great as the Daredevil. Therefore, Daredevil gives the only viable build.

Anet hasn’t buffed the dagger dagger build in ages. Nd meta doesn’t matter. Only skill matters xD

Because while recording these clips people are usually watching some Season or listening to audio which gets recorded in addition to the in-game music :p Therefore it has to be discarded. Otherwise u guys would be listening to dialogue from my favorite Seasons.

D/D Thief is still the same since the introduction of Daredevil. That was the last significant improvement that Anet did. Other than that D/D Thief has been ignored by Anet and the prevalent animosity against Thief ensures that Anet do nothing to improve D/D Thief. However, with a little bit of patience and skill D/d Thief can still take on any class with any build whatsoever. It is still the King of WvW and no matter how many nerfs they throw at it, Thief lovers will continue to play Thief!!!

Yeah, it gives 120 Power but does not give additional 120 power nd the other benefit. So with this build it only gives 120 power.

Yeah, there was some issue with the axes connecting. Most of the time the enemies were just able to move away from the returning axes. It was fun but needed some retweaking. Didnt get time to play A/P though. I hope its as good as u say it is🤟

Bdw, this is the updated build that I use nowadays and not the same as the one used in this video.

That is an interesting suggestion, however, I use my mobility thru perma swiftness combined with relic of speed to keep up with the enemies and get Cloak nd Dagger off. Furthermore, in the 15 second that it takes for impairing strike to get back I usually have to get around 3 to 4 CnDs off of the enemies so while it is helpful with CnD, I cant depend on it. Also, since the rest of my build is mostly focused on attack I have to take defensive utilities and the only possibility to fit in impairing strike would be to replace the Precision Signet which is a great condi removal of last resort. Therefore, it just doesn’t fit in when u r up against a bunch of enemies regularly. Despite these reservations, I will give it another go. Ur input is greatly appreciated!

Haha, yeah, Perfectly executed Assassination

The Staff Master provides extra power which means upfront and consistent damage increase. Its replacement can be "Havoc Specialist" but that provides inconsistent damage increase, also it provides incentive to waste Endurance and other boons and traits like Vigor that give back endurance work against "Havoc Specialist". Dodges should be used when necessary in a 1 v X situation cuz u already have just 14K health with 0 Toughness. Dodges should not be used to increase damage.

Hey, thanks! Nah bro, 3 skill is quite useless for d/d Thief. I have a custom set of keybinds where I use CAPS, Alt, CTRL nd other keys for the usual skills. These keybinds let me play easily rather than the default keys

Hi, thanks for your support. It is greatly appreciated. Yeah, I have been playing d/d Thief for more than a decade in WvW and the 3 skill is definitely utterly useless right now. Over the years I have witnessed how Arena Net downgraded d/d Thief because many people complain about getting killed by thieves in WvW. The actual problem is that they themselves dnt play with skill nd blame the class as being overpowered due to the stealth mechanism. As a result d/d has been nerfed to oblivion and beyond by Anet and they dnt pay any attention to it anymore.

For the 3 skill, I think blind is already available to d/d thief with 5 skill as stealth puts AOE blind with the right traits. The 3 skill can be changed up to provide a ranged interrupt as that can prevent people from channeling key skills and using it correctly also requires skill. Another possibility is to provide might through it as d/d Thief lacks access to might whereas other classes can stack upto 25 might by themselves. Even if they rework it to provide immobilize then that would be good since d/d has to do damage up close and classes like Eles and Engineers just kite around. Furthermore, they can even rework it to something like the 3 skill they introduced with Axe/dagger that provide a shadowstep to behind an enemy so that Thief can catch up to these kiting enemies.

Currently, The d/d is at an all time low because of people actively complaining against it. Most of the players slain in these videos are going to end up complaining on Forums about how overpowered Thief is whereas in reality I have just over 13000 Health with no Toughness and no access to barrier or shroud or block or even protection like other classes. Its just skill, planning and tactics that give me an edge over the enemies and I end up confusing them to get the kill. However, I am not going to hold my breath cuz I dnt think that Anet is going to change the 3 skill anytime soon.
