Cobalt makes the most beautiful, comfortable yet doesn't lack any ability in performance. They make the best boar on the market in my opinion. Haven't owned one for myself but have been on many and they are unmatched for the price point. They are expensive but they are so worth it.

notice how Cobalt MARGINALIZES the men in this video....HE pays for the boat; HE maintains the boat, she just puts on a slinky outfit and looks sexy. It is ALL about HER. Notice it was 5years ago, so things have changed, #men and logical #women have destroyed that meme of women first, women only entitlement syndrome.

Monterey 278ss 100k less in price and has more options then the R8 for example wetbar. But the cobalt is a very nice boat for sure. Only thing 100k more price for me not worth it at all!

This R6 with Yamaha V8-425 is beautiful. If money is loose, go with R8 with 2.x.V8_425 . Life is good.

Does Cobalt care about the environment? These surf boats are putting out massive waves leading to significant bank erosion on many lakes. Cobalt is not being a good steward

Dream boat - beautiful lines and styling. However, the design of the windshield is less than impressive. Sharp corners and shape don’t match the rest of the vessel.

I just got a new R4 with the Volvo 350 and I don't think my trim assist is working properly. It seems to alway trim too high and I always have to turn it over to lower the trim to smooth out the ride. When I say too high, I'm talking 14-15 when it should be around 5 when I'm going 30 mph. Do I need to do anything to calibrate it or should I take it in to have it looked at?

This comment is regarding the A29 In Practice video. Comments for that video was turned off. ---- I have loved Cobalt Boats since the early 1970’s. My family only bought Cobalt Boats. The quality and performance is second to none. It is because of my admiration for the brand that I was shocked to hear the statement, “Windlasses sometimes need a little coaxing along.” What in this world are you saying? The windlass you use on these boats is crap? I cannot begin to count the number of videos on boats and boating that I have viewed. Never, and I mean never, have I heard another boat manufacturer say, stay close to your windlass because they are junk and don’t always work properly. If this statement is true of the Cobalt windlass, through it away and find a product that reflects the quality and performance Cobalt is, or should I say was, known for. I heard you say this yesterday. I am still in shock that someone would say you cannot use this product as designed, from the helm position, because it’s crap and is prone to fowling up on you. Geez, don’t embarrass your brand like that. For Pete’s sake get a better windlass.

Hey, we are also a linear actuator manufacturers in China. We are now working with many boat manufacturers in the USA. I saw you are using the traditional type linear actuator in the system. Will you like to consider a all stainless steel body in-line linear actuator for the system to get more reliability?

I searched for over a year to find my 1988 Cobalt Condesa 7.4 B1... Drove 700+ miles to buy it. It's a 33-year-old boat, I'm the third owner, everything is original and works as it should and is nearly immaculate in condition. This boat truly stands as a testament to the quality and never-ending push for the best in materials and build protocols. Wouldn't have bought anything else.

Looks like a Chaparral, Cobalt has gone away from what set them apart from others. Malibu purchase will be the end of Cobalt. Sales are high, but everyone sales are high due COVID.

We bought a new Cobalt 18 foot tri-hull in 1977. We sold it in 2005, and it was almost as perfect then as when we bought it. We wish we still I had it.. We couldn't live without a boat, so we bought a new Cobalt 242 in 2011. I'm 73 years old now. Still love Cobalt boats and boating. We have pictures of the St. Clair family on a cruise ship, and of Paxson and his sister swimming in a pool on the boat when they were just kids. Sad that they sold the company, but who can blame them?

Why not just pit the manual knob on the outside of the platform and solve the whole problem. Cobalt are you listienig?
@satellitesecured13574 жыл бұрын
The A28 series has a pneumatic swim platform, that works incredibly well. Does anyone know why they didn’t use this feature for other lines? As another commentor has stated, to flip the platform up in choppy or larger waves, is actually difficult. It’s not about the ease of pulling the lever. The A28 platform simply moves up and down with a push of a button. It’s not only effortless, it’s simply a lot safer.

Nice features, and nice boat but to me the new R6 looks 'less Cobalt' than the other R series.. the interior upholstery/ cushions look more like any other brand and seem to have less 'cobalt' look compared to the rest of the R series. Same with the flooring. I hope cobalts don't become mainstream!

Spirited Driver It looks high quality, just more modern. Lots of steel, which is the most expensive part.

This feature solves a current design frustration of the manual release platform. It would be wonderful if the new system could be retrofitted on older models, like the SD series. Any thoughts??
@rsanter754 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking the same thing. I have an R5, and while opening the swim platform is easy, it can be a little awkward with small waves when closing. This feature would eliminate that.
@douglascarocari86744 жыл бұрын
I agree with Keith. Even small waves add a bit of instability when opening and closing. I was commenting to my 83 yr old father who was performing this maneuver last weekend that it sure would be nice to have an electrically actuated step. I guess my 3 month old 2020 R5 isn't considered "new generation" and can't be retrofitted? Heck of a way to run a boat company.

Cobalt is one of the few companies who does not look to cut corners when building boats! They look seriously into long life and quality when selecting material and components. It’s one of the few companies who still does that. The best comparison I can think of is the Toyota Land Cruiser, which is a huge compliment🛥
