My dog would love this, but he has hip dysplasia. I have to very careful not to let him for too long. I also live and work in a remote area. Where can I purchase my own lure course equipment?

All lies! I sold a puppy 2 years ago customer still didn’t get papers I had to duel register the now adult dog with ABKC waited a week then signed over the papers to the owner.

You can’t just google the different types of coonhounds and make a video of it. The information is a lot more complex than that.

The biggest problem from my experience is hunting judges. Most judges can't be impartial while their own hound is in the pack. A judge should be paid to run the trail. Second is the majority of the cast rules, which is real convenient for club members to gang up on guys from out of town. Next is drive points. The dog in the lead is sometime just cutting to get to the front. And they score them all the time. Which is why the dogs keep getting faster and faster and sloppiness is common in UKC hounds. Points should be awarded to those who keep the chase going. Not those who blast around in the lead. Next change I'd make is allowing handlers to communicate and encourage their hounds. A dog which has been sold and resold hunts for himself and benefits from no talking while other hounds are standing around looking at their owner thinking does he want me to hunt ? He didn't say get him up.. Last is video. A judge should have a field marshall that's recording everything. Especially now that everyone has a camera in their pocket. There are no altercations, there are no questions, there are no arguments when it's all on video.

So many memories of going to field trials with my dad from the time I was about 6 until his death. Never will you find a gathering of men where you never hear a foul word and have a blessing when lunch is served.

I think babbling alot of times is caused from trying to start a pup to young. Before its fast enough to keep up with the older dogs so it barks trying to catch up and then as it gets older it just becomes a bad habit

Are you allowed to touch your dog? My girl can literally do everything these dogs are doing, but shes blind abd deaf, all her commands are touch commands. And she puts her head against my leg for a heal so she knows where im at.

Question about the Greeting exercise. In the video the dog is of leash for the greeting exercise. In the rule book it says "The dog will remain on leash for this exercise" Rule book rules right?
