I love this cover. You did the song justice. You played nearly everything Alan White plays, note for note. Great ear man. Great playing and control.

What about all the sixteenth notes that need to be swug on the hat, the offbeat rim clicks. This is soo square and unfeeling.

Sorry! This is just the Trinity Rock & Pop Grade version. Is a very simplified version of the song for complete beginners; it's not the original.

Hi. I'm looking at studying Jazz as well as Rock and Pop. I have Roclschool grade 3 Trinity Rock and Pop grade 3 - would you say coming in at this grade.for Jazz would be doable or as its a different genre to what I am accustomed to playing, that I start lower? Enjoyed watching this. Well played
@drummersaom18 сағат бұрын
Hi Andy, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It depends what experience you have. It is definitely different to both Trinity Rock & Pop and Rockschool. I'd recommend going in at the beginning. The more pieces you can expose yourself to, the better.
@AndyRamsden17 сағат бұрын
Thanks for replying. Think I'm going to get to grips with Trinity grade 4 and my side project of improving hi-hat and bass independence before trying some of this - from the start. If only I'd had the love of learning drum - in my 20's... .

saw this on a post, could you explain it in a way that makes more sense please??: "Half-time doubles the tempo, because note values are cut in half, so a half note is played as a quarter note, which is half as long. This makes the tempo twice as fast. Double-time halves the tempo, because note values are doubled, so a quarter note is played as a half note, which is twice as long. This makes the tempo half as fast." this post makes it seem like the opposite of what it states.
@drummersaomАй бұрын
Yeah, that is the other way around. I see how some one could see it this way. Half time here is being interpreted as half the amount of time, rather than half the tempo.
@michaelnichols9557Ай бұрын
@@drummersaom ya, I've always seen it has half time is half tempo, so therefore slower and double time is double the tempo, so therefore faster. It doesn't make sense to me the other way.
