@IbarraRacing92 they're pretty anal about at Michigan tracks. I ordered one of those chin-mounts like your running, technically they're still illegal, but I'm glad to hear they don't bitch about at byron. I'm planning on racing nuke series. Haven't been to Byron in about 20 years, but looking forward to this Sunday! The gopros stick out alot more on top of the helmet. Still technically illegal, but it's a stupid rule. I'm all for recording rides especially races. Everytime I ride I record lol. The ama says they're dangerous, but if you hit your head they just break off. Anyway looked good out there man. Can't stand catching the first drop and then they want to play road block, but you made the win look fairly easy 👍🏻

@eli9494 thank you very much for the comments! 🙏🏽 so the only time I’ve seen you might get told something about the GoPro is at big amateur national events. But local racing from my experience they dont pay attention to that. Also I feel the chin mount it’s more discreet and harder to see than on top of the helmet. And yes you are right they are technically illegal, I agree with you they just break off if anything. Good luck at Byron! 💪🏽

good video. I see that counter shox works well. Does the other small shock absorber stabilizer you put in work? also?
@IbarraRacing92
@IbarraRacing92 3 ай бұрын
Yess love the counter shox! A lot of people are using it now on Dakar racing. Yes the steering stabilizer does work! The only thing I wish is that it was stiffer valved but racetech offers revalve of the stabilizer and they can make it stiffer because right now I have it all the clicks in and I would like it a little more stiffer. On that note my buddy has the WP version steering stabilizer and that one has more resistance and it’s stiffer, he runs his clicks in the middle so no need to revalve that one! I wish the WP was out by that time I got my showa stabilizer.

Everyone who watched the outdoor nationals last season. Seen these tires in action. We all also know the Riders did not like them . We all seen what the Race Teams did to the knobs at the nationals. The riders were not getting sufficient traction. So they cut the center lugs in half. They did this on Factory Team Race Tires. That are made with unattainable compounds the privateer can not get. How does the axle float when its axle block bolts are chinch down and the axle nut is torque down
@IbarraRacing92
@IbarraRacing92 11 ай бұрын
There’s still flex going after being torque down. If you look at slow motion video of dirt bikes absolutely everything is flexing, the frame, subframe, triple clamps, etc.. In this case with the axle blocks being floating they are moving, the movement can’t be seen with the naked eye, but it’s happening. For a reason factory Ktm chose to have them floating. And all Japanese bikes have a floating design.

I know everybody is using a ape hanger freestyle set up for handlebars today, but I promise you, if you pull those bars back so the grip ends are pointing down, (mine are at 10 degrees), and maybe rotate your levers down a bit more, you will be able to keep your elbows up higher, and with a bit of practice, all those corners will be much easier to dive into. I see the amateur racing go-pro vids. Corner speed has never been slower for amateurs. Lower your seat and suspension a bit, and it gets even better. The bike geometry is the same as yesteryear, (when we figured things out better), sans a tall seat, so you can try old school set up too, and i know you will like it better. The froward bar set up may be good for freestyle, (leg trick clearance), and SX rhythm sections, but it is terrible everywhere else. The PRO riders today ride more forward with the forward bars, and they use more rear end rider sag (105mm or more) to offset it. Try the old school bar set up and 100mm or less sag. On my 2-stroke YZ250, I will be entering those corners leaned over and on the gas. I can tell, you have no confidence in them, and neither does most any amateur. I gotta try that tire. Thanks for the vid. Doug in Michigan USA
