Really good video mate, with No. 9, generally a car wont have a blowout due to misalignment, but if you neglect your tires for too long (due to said misalignment) they will eventually blowout. Also with No. 10, most road tires have elevated rubber you can use to quickly measure tread depth, however the penny is also a good option

That’s not too bad, I’d for sure check maintenance history tho, and check to see if common problems for those cars have been fixed, Also a pre purchase inspection

Warming your car up on the drive at tickover accelerates wear on the engine, because you’re making the warm up last as long as possible. Get in the car, drive immediately, but don’t use heavy load or high rpm until it’s nice and warm. Also changing oil every 5k miles is OTT - it’s something only Americans say, and it’s from the days when engine oil was mineral oil that went off the moment the can was open. Engine oils are sophisticated and last way longer than this. Also OMG do you work at an alignment centre? Every six months? No! Monitor your tyre wear and get alignment if it looks off, or get one if the car crabs, or get one if you have vibrations (but check other stuff). Every six months is crazy.

#2 is false. Modern cars have good enough oil to the point where you really don't need to do this anymore. You can drive off in about 30 seconds to 1 min

can confirm that on a 08 golf 5 tdi takes 5 -10 min while a 2018 tiguan takes 2 min. Talking about when it drops rpm after coldstart
@toesmasher21383 күн бұрын
@@SaltyPoes There are two reasons the rpm goes up when you start the car, the ECU can do it for both or either. One is the catalytic converters need to be hot to work efficiently, so the ECU makes the car run rich and bumps the revs a bit to get it warmed up quicker, the rpm dropping back to idle is the downstream o2 sensor reading properly, or a temp sensor on the downstream cat is reading correctly, or a timer has finished. The other reason is the coolant temperature, oil generally takes the same amount of time to warm up as the coolant does, and the thermostat stays closed so the coolant warms up to temp quicker, the rpm gets higher so it will also lower the time you wait for the coolant to get to temp, then it drops when the thermostat opens. But most cars (07 onwards) generally run it richer and at the elevated rpm because by the time the thermostat opens due to the coolant being at operating temperature, the catalyst in the converter is also up to temp and the car drops its revs to idle

I knew you would slip up your research lol As a Pontiac fan, and car enthusiast, the G8 GT only made 380 hp It was the GXP model that came with the upgraded 415 hp and 415 lb feet of torque. Which gave the sedan a quick boost to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. And if you really want to fly under radar, opt for the G8 Firehawk if you manage to find one, considering they are extremely limited to only 500 built before Pontiac announced their bankruptcy. It will give a 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and allows 500 hp from a supercharged V8
