Hi Julian - thanks for the very informative video. I have one question - is it possible to remove a photo and mount from the frame and insert a different mounted photo ? I want to have seasonal photos on my wall but to use the same frames if possible. Thanks for any advice.
@jbairdexp
@jbairdexp Күн бұрын
Glad you found the video useful. I regularly change some of my framed prints. The ability to do this largely depends on how you attach the print to the mount though. But it's definitely possible. :-)

Another great episode Julian, I’ve sat on that granite bench at Challacombe Farm may times with my parents having our lunch watching the Swallows and getting a visit by the friendly farm dogs who are always keen for some attention. I share your passion for Dartmoor it’s such a beautiful and wonderful place that I never tire of exploring. Well done for producing and making this wonderful series I’ve really enjoyed watching them and learnt the odd thing to.

I have just purchased my first #100# megapixel GFX camera the new 100S ii it's a phenomenal camera. I purchased this camera because the auto focus has significantly been improved that I can use for other things as well. I'm a big GFX fan. It's not for everyone and it can be a quirky system to use and even a little bit tricky it's a bit like driving a hummer. BIg heavy ..not fast not fast.... But very effective in all conditions. In terms of image quality it is absolutely phenomenal. I was blown away. My jaw hit the ground even when I've had my GFX 50s ii but the hundred is just insane in terms of image quality. The biggest challenge with GFX cameras is depth the field and you can even do a focusing measure in the menu system which actually goes on the screen so you can see where your focusing. It's a great initiative on a GFX camera which I hadn't seen on any other camera to be honest.

Evening Julian, I have a lovely shot of Nuns Cross Farm with it's famous garden gate taken in the fog, all very earie. Nuns Cross itself, I captured just after my husband died 18months ago, looking up the track with a trainee group of Royal Marines going up the hill. The lighting that day was ideal for a B&W. The 2 images go well together. I took delivery last week of the Dartmoor Tors Compendium. I am not a photography book person, but this is going to become my Darmoor Bible. I made a start with a scout to a new Tor for me on Sunday afternoon. The dog and I had a wonderful time. Next time you are in the Nun's Cross farm area check out Whiterocks. Walk down the hill to find a wealth of remains of old buildings, fenced off mine workings and a whole lot more. I have been several times, but still struggling for that perfect image. You will love the photographic challenge. Great series, perhaps you could do a part two when you have got your breath back. This has taken an awful lot of time and effort so maybe next year.

Great review, very interesting. I went through a similar sort of exercise. I already had a Z 5 and wanted a crop sensor Nikon to replace my D 7100 so, after much research, I decided on the Z 50. I just wondered why you went for the Z fc over the Z 50, especially as the z 50 is very similar but with better weather sealing (or so I've been led to believe) and a more robust body.
@jbairdexp
@jbairdexp 14 күн бұрын
I bought the Z fc most for creating videos rather than shooting stills, and at the time the Z fc was the only Nikon Z camera that had a flippy out screen that also captured 4K video. I had the Z7 for stills photography.
