So would that fix work for a long time? Or Should I replace the stem/ a different part after fixing it like this?

I’m guessing a blocked cold feed could also be the reason why the radiators are not filling up correctly when bled

My Vaillant Ecotec Plus 637 started making this noise a few days ago. I thought it might be the pump but never thought of the coils. Would a lime filter on the water coming in help much? What's the average cost of fixing this issue? Excellent video, essential info.

Makes perfect logical sense. What are the current Gas Safe regulations about carrying out PCB repairs at component level? I'm new to the industry having spent 20 years working in electronic systems on aircraft, and consequently tracking down electronic faults is second nature to me. I've been told by other Gas Safe engineers that I was acting illegally when carrying out a PCB repair. I was not modifying the design or anything - simply replacing faulty components like for like with the the part number to restore it to a seviceable state as per its qualified design (was MOSFETS and a wirewound resistor in Worcester Bosch fan PCB). I can't seem to find any definitive info concerning this online, only a few opinions from Gas Safe engineers who probably wouldn't know how to carry out such a repair and would just swap the whole board, and probably don't want other people to undercut them on repair costs it would seem. Any advice you can give would be a great help as I'm just starting out. Thanks.

Very informative video indeed. just one question...at 3:57 you switched the spur switch off and measured 7v on the supply line at the junction conducting strip...why was that?...was it a dodgy spur switch or some sort of residual voltage from the programmer or pump or even the boiler? hopefully it wouldn't be enough current in that line for you to get "juiced" even if you did touch the live terminal!...because its the current that'll kill you not the voltage, and being relatively low voltage should be ok, right?

The most usual cause of ignition failure on Worcester boilers is dirt build up on the flame sensing probe. It’s amazing how little dirt can cause this problem. Great video - will help a lot of engineers.

The PRV cant always twll failed with dripping outside - you can just take pipe off bottom of valve and with pressure; it drips = change prv. If the pressure continues to rise even after what you have done = check filling loop/link isnt passing! ✌️🤟 Legend lad!!

What type of cylinder do you have? If it's prismatic that could be the problem.
