For those of us who are in the 'not technically minded' group, this was pretty straightforward. Thank you!! 🤗 (I've copied the link because I'm sure I'll forget it for next time!🤭)

I wonder if I can order the Sony replacement shoe and convert a Fujifilm version of this flash? It seems easy!

Some one else mentioned this before too, it sounds like an interesting thing. I know the hot shoe pins would be changed but not sure it’ll enable the TTL and HSS etc.

Can you get day and night readings from this meter?

I’d have to check, but I think there’s options for various things like that.

Hi there mate, I just finished another video where they said you need to press 9 (not 6) to get a reading.

Hey there, was it the same make and model as this one, as I always use number 6 when I need to get a reading on these meters. 9 may also work, that's one to try for me I think, but when I need to do it, it's always a 6 that works.

Hi, the meter reading, is it 12000 or 1200, because its a huge difference in price and can't tell which is the correct amount, because mine says 12050, which seems extortionate when I've only just moved in
@FixItWithFusco
@FixItWithFusco 2 ай бұрын
Hey it depends on what reading you have. That reading isn’t the actual money but just how many units you’ve used which is then used by the electric company to work out the prices of what you’ve used. You won’t get charged 12,050 units, that’ll be your starting reading and will be charged for whatever units after that.

@@FixItWithFusco ah okay, it’s just my parents meter says 1250 for their usage and when I go to see the prices on gas and electric companies, they normally have th electric around 1350 avg (for this new home) so just confused me and my parents a little as to why it’s over 12000 cause when we put it in, the avg monthly cost is huge, so we were just gonna the companies and get a reading since I believe this is a smart meter 😅

When you have a new meter, it starts at 0 and will count up from there, until it reaches either 99,999 or 999,999 depending on the meter and go back to 0 again. No matter how high or low the number is, that's not what the money is for the bill. Say your parent's meter is 1,250 at the start of the month and 1,350 at the end of the month, they've used 100 units and if yours is 12,050 and goes to 12,150 then you have also used 100 units and only get billed for that, not the total amount. Hope that makes sense :)

@@FixItWithFusco hi, yeah that makes sense, but when I'm comparing prices for gas and electric companies, the kWh is 12050, but when I put that in the price per month is over 200, so I'm not too sure what values I'm in need of putting into those websites to get an accurate result, we were just gonna call the company and ask them to read it since we didn't know which value to put into the websites

I do believe the thing you input is what amount you’ll be using each month rather than the current meter reading. So if the house uses 500kw per month that’s the charges as it’ll be say 10p per each kw, so £50 for 500kw, but each company has different prices along with the daily standing charge etc.

Where can I find the “Export Reading” ?
@FixItWithFusco
@FixItWithFusco 4 ай бұрын
Which feature is that? Ie, what do you need the export reading section for? Usually you’d just make a note of the reading to give to the utility company. I shall check on the meter if there’s an export reading option though.

@@FixItWithFusco hi - thank you for your reply - I’ve just had solar panels fitted and so that I can be paid for electricity that I have sent to the grid before registering the form asks for the export reading - which apparently I can obtain from my meter ?
