The more Jimmy Carter work the worst the country got! Jimmy Carter had one of the greatest egos in presidential history. He never let his aids forget who was president, had a obsolute fantasy about the world, and dealing with Congress, he had a common trait in hating his opponents, and was the root cause of the Shah of Iran's downfall and subsequent hostage crisis. The US embassy had been briefly overran in February 1979 and should have been evacuated after that being resolved. The US virtually had no diplomatic relations with Iran and had no need to be there, the government was openly hostile to the West and the US in particular. There were warnings that bringing the Shah to the US for medical assistance could result in the embassy being taken and Carter alluded to that possibility during meetings prior to allowing the Shah in and still didn't order the embassy closed and personnel home. The humiliation this country would suffer was avoidable. He was an environmental nut Job that would have repercussions for domestic oil production with regard to the Alaska land grab. He was a terrible communicator, hardly aroused confidence from the citizens and surrounded himself with extremely inexperienced people who offended gave him the wrong advice. The secret Service would openly state that he was an genuine asshole to deal with, where they loved Reagan. Certainly a better ex- president who was a male mother Theresa, but his performance as president will never rise..

I love both of these authors, but it seems like they're talking at cross purposes. Max seems to have more of a combative conversational style to Jesse's deferential one. Or is it just me? (I coordinate author talks, and have literally attended hundreds of them, so I could just be reading into something that doesn't exist.)

We had the same neo con/neo liberal movement in Canada under conservative PM Brian Mulroney who kowtowed to Ronald Reagan like a pageboy . They brought in Nafta and there was a big sucking noise of manufacturing industriws and well paid jobs leaving Canada & the US .

I have to read Rick's book! "Go Ask Alice" was an international success. It was ubiquitous when I was growing up. It was and is called "L'herbe bleue" in french, which translates as "the blue grass". Of course, it sounds totally off and has a different meaning and association in English (it comes from a section where the grass looks blue during a trip). It's funny because it's so different from the original title. However, a very common book club edition of "L'herbe bleue" (the one I used to see growing up _ I was drawn to because it stood out, looking so colourful and psychedelic, in shelves) has a full page at the end explaining what the original title is, where it came from (The Jefferson Airplane didn't have a pop hit with "White Rabbit" in France, they were an underground band for people who were into rock music).Anyway, there's this claim on this extra page that the anonymous writer of the book "listened to the song on her record player for months. "White Rabbit" was, for this 15 year old teenager, the audio background of her hallucinations (...). Fortunately, you don't have to be on drugs to enjoy "White Rabbit" recorded by Jefferson Airplane and pressed on an exclusive single (...) published especially for the release of "L'Herbe Bleue, exclusively on RCA Records" !!! I wonder how Jefferson Airplane felt about this kind of publicity.

I hope next time, youuuuu let them describe what the topic would be instead of letting them sit in front of the camera while your introduction is sooooooooooo long. I feel this is rude. You shouldn't keep on talking and talking especially in the introduction. They should be the one talking. I really enjoyed this topic. Thank you.

Religious, lying, ignorant and stupidly dangerous conservative lawmakers. If there claims of belief in something larger than life are to be heard, then, why all of the constant lies and vitriol towards others. When we accept a belief system that is invisible and demands with endless punishment for sinning, what happens then, we get tired of ourselves to exhaustion. So since we can't just stop we take on the leaders own works rather than the kindness that It, espouses. R

It was more than a street fight! It was a street war! We divided up into groups by states and Michigan came up the plan that everybody would attack Swat and the National Guard on the south side while Michigan circled around and attacked from the North. We kicked Ass!

Thom , what is happening with Russia right now is Bricsa and Russia ending zero sum or expanding the system again by passing the gold ! It’s not possible and unacceptable ! Zero sum must end. Debt system must end . Congressional involvement in the WORLDS money supply has to stop ! They don’t represent us , they represent supply side capitalists !

Thank you Tom ! I’ve been bitching and warning people about this for decades ! You did SUPERB . I’m not at the end yet . But , I want to make sure you educate people about Zero sum ! About how it creates desperate and opulence . How combined with the Breton woods 1,2. The federal reserve act establishes zero sum that establishes the castes . Supply side gives power to the rich ( supply side) . Keynes at Versailles wanted to balance it and end debt system . The real limiting factor is natural resources . Explain it so people can understand please ! Because I’m failing ! You’re doing much better . Please let your next book be Keynes plan to Versailles 🙏🙏🙏❤️

Great historical political broadcast. But I never realized Thom Hartmann was such a shill for Joe Biden, the Democratic Party and hated Putin so much. Nothing about US installing Yeltsin, US attempted destruction of Russian economy in1990s, overthrow of Ukrainian 2014 elections or reneging on NATO promises to Gorbachev. As a Black man that has been to Russia, I am not a naive Russian supporter but Truth is Truth; Facts are Facts. I am really disappointed.
